Goes out and gets the D coordinator everybody wants.

Goes out and gets the best DL coach in the country to come back home.

Who even knows what's next. All I know is this dude is ready to win now.

He knows he won't have a 3rd shot at getting this right. He has no choice but to not phuck around.

It's not like Kelly is paying the coaches out of his own pocket. If you get the green light from the AD to get the best available coaches and it takes making them the highest paid at their positions, then it's a no-brainer. Woodward is the one that isn't fricking around. Kelly is the beneficiary.

But are the sky-fallers of old happy about this?

It makes you wonder why some posters are perpetually negative.

Maybe they are anonymous Bama-Aggy fans posting as LSU FANS.

We already know TideSaint from SECr had multiple LSU user profiles and would come here posing some good and some bad about the tigers.

Slews of LSU recruiting and rant posts as an Alabama fan with an LSU profile. Still has yet to admit it but you can see that since he got flight with it in 2021, he hasn’t posted.

After you go look at Corey Raymond's player list on 247 can you honestly say that? Davis and Raymond are both respected and legendary position coaches at their coaching position

The hate for Raymond is so fricking weird... If you're upset he's your CB coach, you're a fricking idiot

You know what's wild to think about? Despite the fact that Louisiana has traditionally been a state that produces skill position players the best OL and DL coaches in the country are from here.

Head coach and AD in alignment. It’s a beautiful thing.

There's very large number of rival fans posing as LSU fans. I personally know an aggy who has been doing it for about as long as this site has been around.

If Harbaugh leaves some were saying he is interested in Michigan...I doubt that very much to be honest...Plus I don't see Michigan repeating ...

As if we needed any more proof that he wants to win. Don’t think it’ll be next year but if Ed Orgeron can do it he can do it if he keeps going like this.

Dude came to win a championship at LSU and if not for Joe Biden at DC he would’ve come incredibly close in just his second year. If he doesn’t win it all he will regret this season for the rest of his life.

I’m a homer obviously but just seems like LSU is just built different. The opportunity to win here is just always going to be there for anyone who wants to take it seriously.

I wouldn't hate it, but I would feel like it's a meh hire. The hate people have is understandable. He did get lazy with his recruiting and coaching towards the end of his time here while simultaneously asking for more money every year. It rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way.

Then he went to Florida where he didn't do anything impressive either. Is that because of Napier and the coaching staff there? I don't know. None of us do, but getting super excited he returns is a mystery to me. Maybe his time at Florida was a wake up call for him and he comes in and kills it again at lsu, but his past 4 years of coaching don't scream elite.

I trust that if Kelly is bringing him back then Frank, Baker, etc all feel he still has the juice left to get our CBs back to greatness. So I wouldn't hate the hire but I also don't understand the excitement around it given his product the past 4 years.

He needs to go to raise the Bama cupboards... there is a huge window right now… Within two years if he doesn't have a natty, he's gonna be gone..and should be.

THIS! I'll strike back to the people who claim they are just hating on Raymond. I used to like Raymond WHEN he recruited well and coached decently. Then, he tried to blackmail about more money or he would leave, his recruiting dropped off, etc. People complain about the LSU secondary right? Well who was the DB coach when the decline started and LSU was FORCED to play TR FR or last 2 seasons depend on the portal. Yeah, it was none other than Corey Raymond. And as you said, he did squat at Florida in 2 season.

Anyone who sincerely doubted Kelly is a fool. Even so, he’s obviously locked in to win a natty.
