He wants to play LT. Can't beat will out. Butt hurt. He will get his chance when will leaves next year. Man show some chest and heart. Don't quit on your team

Also keep in mind he played behind Will in Hs too. Money is big here but also playing time.

Yeah that sounds like he’s gone. “I’m playing tackle I dont care who is there playing tackle. I’m a competitor. Unless I can’t beat out the starter then I will bitch out and leave.”

Rampant beta mentality among these kids now. So many of these kids don’t want to compete.

I think it easy to prove that Will is better.

Put each on an Island with the best pass rusher on the team (maybe Harold Perkins) and see who has the most success against.

I believe Campbell wins that battle between the two, but Heard needs to see it for himself.

Encourage him to train and get better then take over left tackle.

That’s logical thinking, not the mind of an arrogant 19 yr old.

Will had a year of starting in the sec under his belt. He’s more developed. Heard is not even giving himself a chance. It’s so soon. I don’t get it.

like he's better than will Campbell and wants to play LT. I love his confidence but will Campbell is a top 10 pick

Or they told him he would have to fight for a spot next yr. I'm sure he also wanted starting left tackle nil money and Kelly said earn it.

I would hate to lose this kid. Actually, you can't lose this kid.

CBK says he wants to play the best player at each position. If Heard can beat Campbell, then so be it. Let Campbell move to another slot. Need the best eleven out there. Need to OL to be nasty as well as a disciplined cohesive unit.

False. He will be starting at RT if he stays. Duck him if he can’t see the big picture. Start one year at RT move to LT. Also, one injury away from starting at LT.

He’s nuts if he thinks he’s better than Campbell but he could very well be the starting RT with Jones moving inside to RG where he will play in the NFL. Then after Campbell goes to the draft and is a top 10 pick then Heard will get his year to be the starting LT. All he needs is one year of tape and he will be off to the NFL as an early round pick. He wants a starting spot guaranteed though and Kelly rightfully isn’t going to promise that to anyone as he shouldn’t.

Nope. The old system was pure communism. If you don’t support the new system you are a communist. There was zero logical reason to not let players make money off their NIL or to transfer schools without having to sit out. You would not tolerate that at your job. You would not tolerate that with any other type of scholarship student. No scholarship was guaranteed beyond a year to any player. In return, no player should have been beholden to any school beyond that year. You would not have accepted a college being forced to “sit out a year” on recruiting a specific position for cutting a player so no player should have to sit out either. If you can’t follow this logic or don’t agree with it you only don’t agree with it for selfish reason of wanting your team to benefit the most out of rules.and regulations.

They compete as much as every shitty generation before them. No, they just want to play and not get buried on a depth chart as a player who could start for most teams. You want to have a logical reason to complain, then demand that scholarships given out be guaranteed for more than 1 year. Then you MIGHT have an argument. Until then, the school isn’t promising more than a year to these players, they should have the same right.

He played enough on a team that had hardly any injuries to still be all freshman SEC, that should be enough

I’m not sure there’s much of a path to keep him. Heard bailed on his team prior to a bowl game. How do you cave into his demands without upsetting the other players who didn’t quit?

Making money off of NIL and pay for play are two completely different things. NIL is basically non existent as players are just being bought by schools.

My job would fire me or tell me to walk if I strong armed them for more money or threatened to leave if I had done next to nothing productivity wise as a new employee. There's regulations and rules with every job in this country. Bottom line is, neither the players nor the coaches should have all the leverage in college athletics. A system of checks and balances is much needed.

90% blame on the parents who in this age have raised entitled and soft little bitch kids.

God forbid you COMMIT somewhere and have to EARN a spot.

My parents would’ve never been on board with this but they don’t raise them like they used to
