Times are changing. It doesn't work like this anymore as of now.

Not sure. If I thought I'd make it to the NFL, I'd probably go where I wanted.

These guys really never know shite. He’s been saying all week he felt good about Matthews to LSU and the day of he flips to A&M. The intel is always terrible until the last minute. No point in even following recruiting until the day of tbh

If LSU was offering no money then yea probably.

But that’s no what happened here. This kid is spurning his home that has been after him since day one for the school who brushed him off until the last minute for slightly more money.

No I can honestly say I would’ve told A&M to go frick themselves.

I'm not sure....I'd like to hope that I would realize or have someone to explain to me that 100K/yr today doesn't get you to the 10+ million/yr in the NFL necessarily.

Who knows? I understand the allure of 100K/yr right now for an 18 yr old kid for sure.

Good. Let A&M buy all of these kids. It's the only way they'll ever win a national championship. They can't sustain this forever, no one can. These things have to play out. A&M will win a lot of games, more than LSU, if this continues. But I think the standards are being set now. You also have to consider what might happen in the transfer portal after year 1.

100K/yr ain't going to compensate for a career ending injury.

This is Jimbo doing what Saban always did—have them play LSU along until signing day. It’s petty.

$$$$$ NIL is killing college football

Yeah the days of Southern Miss and Tulsa winning national championships might be coming to an end...

College football has never been fair, and had always been dirty with only a handful of programs actually able to compete for titles. And it's gotten worse in the past decade, before NIL.

We're just mad because LSU is clearly a step behind now when we used to be one of the best programs in the sport. And we still might be, but I'm already tired of the complaining that the underpaid labor is now slightly less underpaid.

Yeah, A&M is going to do whatever they have to do to try and buy a team that can compete for a championship

1-5 feels possible if not likely today. I don't trust Perkins at all. Get the feeling he's setting up to head to Aggy with Matthews.
