People are way underestimating Seastrunk. Whomever compared him to RP doesn't have a clue what they are talking about for one. Secondly, the dude was already 192lbs six months ago, and people act like he'll be too small for the SEC. Give me a break.

SFP, where are you getting this nonsense that Seastrunk isn't agile? The guy is probably the quickest guy in this recruiting class. His feet are incredible.

at whomever said that Shep has a higher upside than Vick. Shep doesn't have half the arm strength Vick had, and may be slightly slower as well. Their arms aren't even comparable.

I said:

His ceiling? He could be better than Mike Vick was.

I didn't say his ceiling or talent level was higher than Vick, I said his ceiling is he could be better, as in a better player.

And nice that you are already SURE how good Shep's arm will definitely be based on pre-college film of him being his HS's main running option first and foremost. Guess you have a scout gig all sewn up.

Do you realize how strong of an arm Vick had? It has nothing to do with scouting, but Vick was simply a once in 10 years talent.

Again, you missed the point, I am not saying Shep has similar arm, I am saying his ceiling is he COULD be a better player version of Vick. If you took Vick's running ability, dialed down his arm strength, but gave him a much better feel for passing the ball... You would have a better player. Jeff George isn't a better player than Drew Brees just because he has a better arm.

And the greater point is: the impact of that ceiling is, even if improbable, greater than the ceiling of a speedback prospect like Seastrunk.

Vick led his team to the NFC Championship once. He was a great player. He wasn't Tom Brady as a passer, but he was still pretty good, despite what some may say. I just think it's a huge stretch considering Vick would have gone to 7-8 probowls if not for what happened.

To bad he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Vick was a NFL RB talent combined with a Jeff George or Ryan Leaf passer. At times a deadly combination. But if you contained his running, which while difficult was possible, he never developed as a passer enough to be consistently above average with just his arm.

If someday someone like Vick, Shep, or White develops even into a better passer than that, they will be a terror. Just because Vick had a howitzer and couldn't do it doesn't mean that someone with less talent in their arm can't.

seastrunk is very talented. i saw it in person. but once again attitude looked like a problem. i think it would take a couple years for him to mature and contribute. but he is very very good
