I honestly think Monte will be dead before JJ graduates/leaves UT.

This little pussy had to let his daddy do his dirty work for him.
Not only that but his dad told Miles yesterday that he was going to LSU.

The NFL isn't college in terms of scheme and personnel.
...and time to implement a system.
Kiffin is going to have to adapt to the limited practice time with a group of players who basically at best rookies.

I am Ok with that to some extent. Still would be a little pissed but why lie abbout it and hid your commitment. Waht ddi LSU ever do to this kid or his dad to get this screwing?
Please don't misunderstand me......I'm also really pissed about the way this went down. And it looks like little Kiffin, Jackson and Jackson's father were in on it from the start. Doesn't speak very well of their ethics in my opinion. My father taught me my word was my bond and I think there needs to be more of that mentality but Monte Kiffin WILL be a big draw for defensive talent even with all the crap his son does and says while he is at UT. Maybe daddy Kiffin needs to put a belt on little Kiffin's butt and give him an attitude adjustment.

So do you not think one of the best Defensive Coordinators in the NFL can figure out how to defend the spread offense?.......Just asking
Who knows? Kiffin might be a superb college coach. He also might be a bust. Being successful in the NFL is no guarantee that you'll master the college game.

This entire fiasco is a clear indicator how desperate Tennessee has become. To manipulate a program for a kid??? LSU doesn't need to do that mess.

Jackson, who had publicly maintained his LSU commitment until Thursday, said he informed Tennessee coaches of his final decision Tuesday night after having indicated to them during his official visit three weeks ago that UT was where he wanted to play.
"Coach (Lane) Kiffin and Coach Orgeron were pumped,’’ Jackson said. "I actually told them that Tennessee was where I wanted to be when I visited up there, but it’s hard to leave home with your family and friends. . . . I just felt in my heart that Tennessee was where I wanted to be and I didn’t think I would be happy if I didn’t follow my heart.’’
Guidry said he informed LSU Coach Les Miles of his son’s decision via telephone prior to the press conference. Jackson has not spoken to Miles, Guidry said, and took no calls Wednesday night after missing school earlier that day.

This is very true......but again I say......please don't under estimate the draw Monte will have on defensive talent to UT while he is there. What they do with it after it gets there is another story.

What a douchebag the dad is...waiting to tell Miles on Thursday morning when he knew for weeks, or at least Tuesday. Plus the fact that he continued to lead on Miles and LSU with his public comments about how he doesn't see how his son could choose any other school but LSU. It also goes to poor parenting to allow a kid to do that to not only to a team, but an entire state. He should have made the kid be man enough to call early on in the process and decommit, or at least have the kid call Tuesday night and tell Miles so that he can try to get another defensive player that he was turning away because he thought he had a committment from Jackson.
This whole thing stinks and I hope Jackson and Tennessee never win a game again...ever.

what a little piece of crap. I know he is in high school but obviously he knows the difference between lying and truth. He and his "daddy" deliberately lied to the LSU staff for three weeks. Great parenting there. If the kid doesnt want to go to LSU fine dont go. But to deliberately lie and scheme with little boy Kiffin is total chickenshit. Get his arse out of Louisiana now and dont ever come back either one of them. I hope he can find a coaching job at Tennessee cause he sure as hell will never coach in LA. I dont wish bad upon a player but if he did happen to have a career ending knee injury I wouldnt shed any tears!

This family picked the right time to leave Louisiana.

Rumor here in lake charles is that Reggie Bush called Janzen (before his signing) to persuade him to choose his ex-coach Lane and UT and that was the deciding factor
If Lane asked Bush to do this, is it against the rules?

If thats the case why didn't he just tell miles at least he could have gone after someone else.

Baby Kiffin sure has a lot of confidence in Daddy Kiffin! UT Ohhh...How stupid is it to piss off Les Miles, Urban Meyer, and Nick Saban in such a public fashion. I'm thinking that Baby Kiffin's daddy won't be able to save him from the bUTt kicking he's in for this year when he goes to the swamp & Tuscaloosa. Doesn't look to get any easier in 2010 when UThug plays UF, Alabama, and at LSU.

How does Myles feel about it? If anyone is a loser in this situation, its him.
That's a great point. Should also cause future UT recruits to have some reservations about whether they are being played.

Quote from ole UT alum.
This is exactly correct. They (florida)could hang 80 on us if we say absolutely nothing, so why not go for broke? I wish Lane would chill it a little bit, but it is darn refreshing to see a little bit of fire up on the hill.
Thank god we are not UT
