The entire coaching staff went to walkons after the game last night with who I guess was Darcy Malone. Eddie Ludwig was his host with him there.
Sec. of State Jay Dardenne happened to be there too with a big group of people and they were all talking together.

I'd take Darcey Malone over Deng if he isn't gonna qualify.

Doing some digging on this Malone kid some interesting facts I have come across:
Was a late add to the U17 team
Has only been playing basketball for 4 years
Has grown substantially recently and doctors estimate he should continue growing for 4 years

Depending on Deng's eligibility status and how the roster shakes out, they could be deciding between 2 years of Deng or 4/5 years of Malone.
I think we end up taking 2 more though. One of the guys mentioned above, and then a guard/wing type. It's always interesting to see what happens late in the game.

The video on Malone looks really good. I like his form. With some work, he could be a good player.

Only way they take Deng is if he comes in with 3 to play 3 (aka is a Soph). I am assuming they have offered this Darcy Malone kid (long trip to visit a school who didn't). If both of those pan out or there is a surprise later... I would presume that Courtney gets processed because of it or maybe plays without a scholarship (not saying he has to pay his way though, just leave it at that).

I'm not counting Deng yet. So when I reference taking two, he would be up for one of those spots.
I think Courtney is just about done at LSU. His knee condition is basically chronic at this point. It's not something that's going to go away.

Wow, I thought he looked pretty good in that video. Good movement for a 7' kid.
