Don't even wait, get him now. Let him develop next year while the OL is still getting figured out. In 2027 you'll have an experienced defense with a 2nd year starter at QB in Knight and experienced WR options and an OL who had a year to gel together.

But if you remember his recruitment, you know he went to Auburn solely because of the cash so they’re either not willing to pay what Freeze promised or he’s expecting more.

I doubt he's looking to come to ride the pine somewhere. He's looking to start now which is why he's hitting the portal...
It's hard to tell any talented QB to wait 1 year for your turn with how much more money a QB1 can get and improve their NFL stock at the same time.

Saw him play twice when he was in high school. One of those dudes that just sticks out due to the level of talent. Looked like a D1 QB as a sophomore. Deceptive speed, big arm, slick release. Would be a huge get.

I think it needs to be tampered down a bit since it was Mercer and not Georgia when he went nuts on them but still, I’d gladly take this kid and have him compete with MVB next year and roll the dice on him. No way he’s going anywhere to sit though, he’s ready for the field.

His accuracy is not very good. He’s very athletic and has a cannon but his down field passing is just not good. Saw him twice in the 2 years in district against Hancock.
