Are we done with 2009 basketball recruiting?

Rivals has Sidney and Cousins no longer considering us, along with every other big man we have been after. Do you think Coach Johnson will go after any lower ranked players, or stand pat for a monster class next year? Louisiana is loaded for 2010, but I would still like a post player in this class. (maybe a JUCO) Will Garrett Green be our man in the middle?

It's still early. I think Derenbecker is a player Johnson covets and Brian Williams is a good player.
As for 2009, I don't think there is any doubt he expects Aaron Dotson to step right in to Marcus Thornton's spot. Does Eddie Ludwig play or redshirt?

He will definitely redshirt if Taz moves back to the 3.

That's what I hope it is. But I hope Storm is starting based on improvement, not because he's all we have.

I'd like to think that's the starting at lineup as well. The biggest problem we run into is we'll have to definitely have some conversion players. Taz will have to play the 3 and 4. Dennis Harris will have to play the 4 and 5. Alex Farrer will probably need to bee able to come in for the 2 and 3.

He can play the 2 but the problem is defensively it creates a bad matchup for him being that he's only 6'1.

I can easily see us going small next year, playing Spencer and Bass alongside each other in the backcourt often. I've never seen Dotson play so it's hard for me to say that he will start or not, but obviously they'll rely on him to contribute at least. Hopefully his injury is as minor as TJ states and it won't be something that nags him into fall.
When it comes down to it LSU will rely heavily on one out of Green/Warren/Harris coming through and having a good season.

I am hoping Trent turns out to be a good recruiter because he can really coach. We will see quickly if he can recruit, give him one more year 2010 and then we will know.
