A dude posted that LSU doesn't owe him anything. And that was my rebuttal... but I'm starting shite. Lol

It's a stupid rebuttal. You're the one saying that Etienne is essentially punishing LSU for not paying attention to him. He's not entitled to shite from LSU. He's simply not a make or break recruit for any school.

Ok LSU232017,but the big picture has not been thought of- and that will lead to failure very frequently. You have considered only a 'best case scenario', which is that TE will REMAIN HEALTHY in the foreign state of South Carolina, where most people can't even pronounce his name, make all-ACC, and go to the NFL in 3 years, where he will make a fortune and live happily ever.

Sadly, however-for all of us humans-there are not always 'best case scenarios'. No one ever wishes to consider negative events because it's much more pleasing to consider only good things. For college football players- especially running backs-injury is a fact of life, and life after football in your home state, where people know or remember your time at LSU, will lead to a much more successful non-football occupation. Try that negative outcome in South Carolina, and see how that works. Let's say he makes the NFL, of which only 1.6% do, the median player income after taxes and expenditures for the average career of 4.74 years of playing time is far below $2mil. Work after football therefore is necessary for the vast majority of NFL players- and TE's home state of LA, after having played at LSU, will offer the best chance for that.

So when the cleats are hung up, one remaining constant will be the relationships that he's gained over his first 21 years, which for TE, will be likely much more significant in the LA, having played at LSU, than SC.

You also made no mention of the new LSU OC Canada. Friends who went to the BAMA- Clemson game had the opportunity to meet Clemson's AD, who told them -in no uncertain terms- that Canada's abilities to not only direct an offense, but also take advantages of players' strengths and put them into positions to succeed are unparalleled-by any OC in the country. TE will be disappointed that he's not with LSU when he sees the explosive changes in LSU's offense

But whatever his decision is, we are proud of him and wish him the best. But, his best life decision will be to play ball at LSU.

Man, I feel you. But as long as you put God first and family second you can't fail. Face hardships, yes. Failure isn't an option for a person with purpose. That's all I'm saying. If he doesn't know his exact purpose, he will definitely walk into it in due time of course. That's why idk why people just not respecting the fact that he's representing the state of Louisiana wherever he goes. People are frickin crazy as hell if they don't understand that it's important to support products of Louisiana as long as they are representing us in a positive manner. So sorry not sorry, that I don't believe LSU is the only way to do that. But

Then why are you on an LSU message board where people are obviously are going to be 100% pro-LSU? What't the point here? You're trying to make losing him to Clemson on the same level as if Fournette went to Bama. It's simply not.

Hell, my kids are 11, 7, and 4. I already tell my 11 and 7 year old daughters to try to find a college out of state to go to. Get out and experience something other than Louisiana. You won't regret it.

I didn't say that that's what you interpreted from it. Never said he was a make or break either. I started this thread bc I felt like people didn't understand that it's many factors that make or break a decision. Random people seem to think they know his underlining reason. I just gave some different facts and I also said I didn't know what he would do. So take it how you want to dude.

There is a reason LSU valued Akers more then etienne. It will not be a class killer to lose him. If he goes to Clemson good. LSU will still have a great back with Clyde

Bigger question to me is whether the entire community of Jennings is anti-LSU or is it just one or two retards?

I don't have a problem with him going to Clemson. I wish any kid well, and apparently he is a really good kid. LSU has been through all kinds of changes this year so he shouldn't put to much emphasis on the is being late, considering this is a new era at LSU. With that said I wish him the best and prefer him over all the prima Donna, attention seeking kids. Kids don't owe LSU a thing if they don't feel tied to La and its flagship school that's fine. I wish playing for LSU and the honor of that was enough to keep him but hey we get kids all the time from other places so life goes on. Goodluck to him!

You started this thread for attention. The people on this board have been following recruiting long enough to know sometimes kids just want to get away. You're the one acting like you were dropping some kind of revelations on the board. This is a seasoned message board and probably the best on the site. However, don't come here crying saying the kid is pissed he didn't get more attention. There were much bigger fish in the sea at the time so cry me a fricking river. Not to mention he's going to Clemson when THEY DID THE EXACT frickING THING.

That is a nice platitude, but there are degrees of "failing."

Honestly, he wont be if he leaves. Ive never seen the kid play, but he is representing himself and clemson if he goes there.

He wont be considered a product of Louisiana. He will be considered a product of Clemson if he goes there.

I dont either. Im just pointing out the logical. The ceiling is roughly the same between the two schools. Arguably its higher at LSU if he truly wants to inspire local kids. The floor is, imo, vastly different, regardless of prayer.

have a nice day.

Really? I'm pretty sure your two oldest daughters aren't going to have the option to be given a FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP TO LSU!!! This is a football recruiting board not a place to tell us what you want your daughters to do. For that matter anyone can get out of town after college and live wherever they want. And, T.E. is hoping to make it to the NFL and all but one franchise is NOT in the state of Louisiana. Post something relevant next time.
