I don't think his feelings are hurt at all. Miles fricked up this kids recruitment. Bottom line. And better option came up along the way.

You say that, but here's the truth of the matter- TE isn't even considering the two programs that have pursued him as a primary option. They were Tennessee and A&M. He is going to another school for whom he was an even later backup plan. That's just the simple truth. That's why people are buying into him maybe having sour grapes or an ax to grind with LSU.

Active NFL Running Backs-
LSU-Alfred Blue, Jeremy Hill, Terrance Mcgee, Spencer Ware
Clemson- Andre Ellington

Good luck getting Ready to get to the League Travis. Your road just got a lot harder picking Clemson.

Fair enough. My question to you is, seems like you either know him or watched him play is how good is he really. I watched film of him and was impressed. Great speed and just explodes through the hole. I know, these or only highlights, but it looks like he is underrated on recruiting sites. What are his weaknesses, and if he does come to LSU , do you think he is talented and hard working enough to carry on the tradition of great running backs that he would follow ?

I wouldn't say the "mean streets", but Jennings certainly has it's troubled areas and a history for some bad shite. FWIW, I agreed with your OP. I wish the LSU staff wouldn't have drug their feet on TE, but they did. Would love to see TE in P&G... we shall see though.

Man, GTFO out of here with this bullshite. fricking race baiting and everything. Mean streets of Jennings. Lmao. You know who says that? People from fricking Jennings who've never been in a town of more than 10,000 people.

There are a few types of "insiders". Two of them are those who don't know shite, and those who don't want to let on that they are far more connected to the person than they want people to know because it'll make them look like a douche for trying to gain attention using someone else's fame. Both of those types usually start out by acting like they don't know the person at all. Your first post was exactly that way. So which one are you?

I would not say anything in depth about someone or something I don't know. I know Travis, I know Jennings, and I know that if it's not based off facts or evidence it doesn't matter. I would not have posted such a post. I believe in him so, I think he will shine wherever he goes. It's more than football to him and some will never get it, and that's fine.

There is plenty of Reason to go to Clemson (from a black kid in Jennings perspective): •1st, it's 11 hours away from the mean streets of Jennings. It's so easy to get into trouble in Southern Louisiana and hard as hell to get out. It could simply mean being in the wrong place at the wrong time (google Jawon Lennette). Good kids aren't exempt from danger. So going to an environment away from home doesn't seem like a bad idea.

This is so ignorant. South Louisiana is the only place in America that has mean streets where you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time? google Janzen Jackson. he got away from the mean streets of south Louisiana. He found meaner one's in Tenn and California. Darian Sentimore, Landon Collins Brother found meaner ones in Gainsville. Randy Moss got out of West Virginia found meaner streets at ND and FSU. You're either a thug or your not. If you are, the streets will follow.

Holy frick. This is getting out of hand. That's some next level drama queen shite right there.

I can sum the situation up in one sentence.

He feels disrespected by LSU and feels like a last resort.

Can't say I blame him for that, given that we had him at our camps for years and never came close to offering until Akers told us no.

I hope he does.

Most people would say the same to his face.

Stop taking an anonymous message board so seriously.

But a La kid passing on a scholly to play RB at LSU is a bold strategy and I hope it works out.

This is the nature of recruiting and hopefully he doesn't let his emotions determine where he chooses.

I agree w/ the bottom line of what you're saying, but not all the reasons. Bottom line is that the kid has the right to go wherever he wants, and it's ridiculous for grown people to bash him on his decision. I think it comes down to where the kid feels comfortable and is the best situation for him. I have no doubt Clemson is a good school, and obviously they're coming off a NC. On the other hand ... "mean streets" ... there are "mean streets" everywhere. If a young man wants to go out of state, for whatever reason ... just because ... I think that's great. But I think to portray it like "South Louisiana" is horrible, he needs to get out (if that's what you're saying) ... I disagree vehemently with that.

LSU had better options. We landed one and one went elsewhere. Etienne was no better than the 3rd priority. Bottom line

I don't blame him for getting his ego hurt. I think it's ridiculous to pout that extent , but that's probably a reflection of his mental toughness and I'd say it's a warning sign that he doesn't have the toughness to play in the sec anyway.
