I have heard on more than one occasion that class of 2025 and LSU signee Marshall Louque injured his elbow in a game. Anyone else hear this?

There were some rumors floating around the Lutcher area that he got hurt and needed Tommy John soon.

Is he coming here as a 2-way player or just pitcher or position player? I know he can pitch pretty well, wasnt sure how we'd see him.

I thought he was recruited as a pitcher.

Have to remember that we are seeing 6 less roster spots next year so 2 way players are going to see some value. Even if it’s to eat a mid week inning. I think that’s where LSU sees his value possibly on the mound. They have definitely told him he will be allowed to try both.

Was just told by a friend of the family, he did injure the elbow, nothing torn, will rest it for a couple weeks and be back at that time.

Still dont understand why the NCAA thinks going from 40 to 34 in 1 year makes any sense. That is a huge cut. Should at least be a 3 year draw down or something like 38 in 2026, 36 in 2027 and 34 in 2028 and beyond. And they only announced the change officially towards the end of last year...so if you had a pretty sizable 2025 recruiting class, which everyone is basically done at that point anyways....yikes

Lot of kids not going to be happy come end of this year who thought they had a spot.

Will likely be a combination of recruits losing spots and returners being processed at most schools.

Going to be a lot of kids out of D1 altogether.

JUCO will really benefit

Pitch count for the year:

Game 1 vs. Parkview - 99 pitches (Feb 10th)
Game 2 vs. Westlake - 106 pitches (Feb 20th)
Game 3 vs. St. Charles - 108 pitches (Feb 27th)
Game 4 vs. Zachary - 86 pitches (March 6th)
Game 5 vs. West Feliciana - 107 pitches (March 14th)
Game 6 vs. Vanderbilt Catholic - 48 pitches (March 20th)

Looks like Vanderbilt Catholic is the last game he played in as a position player/pitcher. His HC should have never thrown him over 300 pitches in a 2.5 week time period in February. What an idiot. Hopefully he is shut down for rest vs. potential surgery.

His injury doesn’t involve a ligament so y’all can put away the Tommy John stuff. He’s fine and I’m sure being handled with extreme care. There were rumors it was a back injury too. Amazing how people love to make stuff up.

Walked off the mound in that game indicating he hurt his elbow from what I have been told.

most kids today come back throwing with more velo so it's almost like a rite of passage
if he's having issues then TJ is likely somewhere down the line

Yea 7 days + between starts for a guy that has played year round since we was like 10, that seems like fine usage. This day and age anyone that has any true career is going to have an arm injury at some point.

LSUDAN1 you are the IDIOT you know nothing about his coach. He is one of the best coaches in the state and would never jeopardize a kids future. He pitched roughly evey 8 to 10 days. His arm is fine and they are just letting him take his time coming back. Before you criticize a coach you may want to learn the game of baseball because your comments proves you don't know the game.
