You don't know that yet. It could very well be that they are adequately rated. We'll find out when they either turn into studs or transfer.

Recruiting coming off of an SEC west championship not signing a single 5* recruit is a little troubling. Reliford was a must get though, so glad they got him.

Why would you not factor in transfers? That's the way in college football today. Anyone looking at recruiting rankings that don't factor in the portal is only trying to win signing day and doesn't really care about college football.

Except that I have these things called eyeballs. It’s obvious that some of these kids are under the radar but have tremendous talent and upside. I’ve also followed recruiting in Louisiana for 20 years. Louisiana talent has always been underrated. The statistics on the proportion of LA kids ranked highly by the services vs the proportion of LA kids who become high level D1 athletes and play in the NFL speaks for itself.

Unless we roll in some 5*s, we can definitely get better and needs but Stars makes the dial move if you use said rankings. Bussey and Dom would help but personally I don’t think Dom is a 5*

That's the point. People are just wanting to win the signing day, rather than becoming actually good at football.
Recruiting services do include the portal, but they don't update that until later, when everyone's attention has moved on.

I definitely think we will end up a top 10 class. A lot would have to happen and fall into place for it to be a top 5- class.
