Anyone complaining about NIL

Gotta put their own money up other wise you just complaining. Nothing is going to change. We don’t have an NIL problem. But if you aren’t contributing you’ve got nothing to complain about.

Our Baseball Team is basking in the NIL Glow.

We have the money. Our coach won’t play ball like others will.

Exactly. I shake my head when I see people say Gordon needs to boost up the money. He can’t be the only person being courted for money all the time. An example is Todd Graves. I don’t count anyones pocket, but he’s making a killing with Canes. But you rarely hear his name mentioned. Maybe if they do some sort of thing where fans can donate, we’d see who are the real fans.

Can the public find out how much $$$ each recruit is getting in NIL deals?

I doubt there's any way to find out the amount athletes are making on NIL deals. If there were a way, it would be splayed across every college football recruiting site.
I'm sure the coaches know, and they use it as recruiting inducements. I don't think it's a violation to tell recruits how much the present players are making, though we know a lot of programs go far beyond that.

Doesn’t mean he isn’t putting up a significant amount

How is "putting money up" gonna stop the problem if you contribute to it? You make no damn sense
My complicaint is NIL is poison for recruiting and amateurism....not that we lose out to other teams who pony up more loot than us

I’ve seen multiple athletes post with canes stuff. He just seems more selective and most of the time it’s the top end players of the different sports. He’s got baseball, mbb, Wbb, football, got them all.

Ok so what if I draw the line at not wanting to spend my money directly to paying players because I realize this is a new game that I am less interested in?
It’s an inefficient system that still rewards booster clubs that have created efficient channels of funneling money directly to players. Who do I give this money to?
The cost of games has gone up, you still need to support the school if you want to stay competitive with facilities but now I got to come out of pocket to pay an 18 year old to hopefully show up to campus for a semester? The kids basically complained that they deserve a share of the money because there is so much to be made, so the answer is to bring more money into the equation?
Is it seriously not a valid complaint to say this new system has changed the game as we know it ? I don’t have much interest in contributing to a broken system just because I had fun at the games in college. Had enough trouble justifying spending thousands a year to TAF now I need to shell out a few more to a personal injury attorney so some kids mom can drive a Benz or just put an LSU hat on a table?

It’s taxable and reported to the host university. Not reported for obvious reasons, but there is a trail.

Canes and Walk Ons have several LSU players on pay roll

I don't believe CBK wants to get into bidding wars if that is going to adversely affect the synergy of the team in the locker room. There is tremendous value in a coaching staff that can significantly develop players (rather than merely plug and play those with the most stars).

Most coaches want a cap on the money....bidding wars are not the way to go. We need rules.
