Hootie didn’t flip IIRC. He committed to Bama, decomitted and was thought to be “playing games” with the LSU staff in doing so (and messing up our chances with other DBs like Jamal), and then ultimately signed with Bama.

Hootie flipped to Bama and we signed Jamal as a contingency.
This is not true

He wanted no testing for weed. We did not offer that.

Yeah, Jones was one of the Nick Saban specials where he uses teenagers like double agents. Guy has no shame.

Yeah that was the word on the street. That's an old recruiting trick. It's pretty greasy but it can be extremely effective if the school that is being led on doesn't cut bait and go in a different direction.

Hootie wasn’t in the 5, but he did suck. The 5 was LF Jamal Speedy Noil Tony Brown Gerald Willis
Speedy was a clown, caught many time with the wrong people. Speed failure!
We played against Willis, when he was at Miami, 2018 when we beat them in Dallas. Joes first game as a Tiger. I think he was kicked off the team before the seasons end. Started college at UFL, kicked off the team for on and off the field problems. Bounced around the NFL, never sticking with a team. Lots of talent, never showed up on the field. One of those guys, kind of glad you miss on.
As for Speedy:
Former A&M WR Speedy Noil arrested on four charges
A former member of the Aggies receiving corp cannot stay out of trouble.
COLE THOMPSONSEP 12, 2019 7:24 PM EDT
COLLEGE STATION - Former Texas A&M wide receiver Devante "Speedy" Noil was arrested Wednesday night.
According to Travis L. Brown of the Bryan-College Station Eagle, Noil was charged with assault, evading arrest and failure to pay bond on two previous charges. Noil, 25, was released after posting a $14,000 bail.
Per Brown's report, Noil was accused of striking a man who was helping serve an eviction notice to Noil on April 19. Noil struck the man in the side of the face with a closed fist, and the two wrestled after that hit.He then fled as officers arrived.

As long as Hootie Jones is in I’m good. I don’t want to have to settle for some scrub from Texas like Adams. C’mon Les!

let them be a lesson of what happens when you don't sign with LSU

Wasn’t the Tony Brown saga all about his sister or girlfriend were already at LSU and him picking us was a no-brainer? I think we burned him a few times when playing Bama

I still remember freaking out when Sam Montgomery flipped on NSD.
That 2009 class was badass.

He was committed to Alabama for some time in the fall. Around Christmas and before the UA game, he decommitted from Alabama and immediately called Corey and said he wanted to commit to LSU. Corey told him they already had his replacement in Jamal.
This is a fact from someone who witnessed both calls back to back

Tony’s sister ran track at LSU and he seemed like the biggest lock out of the 5. That’s why it was such a stunner.
