I'm pretty sure she said she wouldn't go anywhere but Crooks would be peak in our lineup

And she would most definitely “fill out” the roster

Where in the world did you hear this? She is not in the portal, and she already said 2X she is not transferring. If she was transferring, it would have been big news.

Despite the smear of a young woman who is more of an athlete than you’ll ever be, she’d be just the type of big brawler we need down low.
But she’s made it clear on social media she’s going nowhere.

So she signed with Georgia, but was able to get a release? Will she still be eligible this upcoming season?

LSU has landed its fifth commitment for the 2025 class, as Meghan Yarnevich will sign with the Tigers this summer, sources tell The Bengal Tiger. Yarnevich was previously signed with Georgia as a 6-foot-2 forward playing in Maryland at The Bullis School, but now, Mulkey has added another forward to her roster for next year.
In September of 2024, Yarnevich originally chose Georgia over Cal, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, St. Johnson, and Georgia Tech, but now will stay in the SEC with the move to LSU.
It was a quick process to get this done. On May 4, Yarnevich announced her decommitment from Georgia, re-opening her recruitment. Then, LSU quickly jumped into the mix, looking to round out its roster and the interest was reciprocated, accelerating the timeline. Now, the Tigers have another young talent Mulkey can refine in the coming years, joining a formidable frontcourt already with young talent like Kate Koval and Grace Knox.

Nice wide body to bang down in the post, when called upon. There’s not much footage of her on YouTube:

This is initial info I could find on Yarnevich. 6'2" PF, 4-star recruit, ranked #2 in MD, and top 100 HS recruit (#85). Class of 2025.
Avg 13.5 pts
64.3% FG
75% FT
9 reb
1.5 asst
1 blk
10 double-doubles
If you go to her Instagram account, there are some videos of her. She is physical in the paint.

Not much to get excited about here if you want to be honest about it. If you want to compete with South Carolina then you have to have players as good or better than they have. This girl would never be given a second look by Dawn Staley because she’s not good enough to play there. That’s just a fact. Hope the next signee is much better.

Mulkey plays 8 to 9 deep so It doesn’t even matter. Knox, Koval and Joyner is good enough. The last spot just needs to play behind Koval and that last one hasn’t announced yet
LSU is very deep every other position outside of center besides Koval at center. LSUs interior posts were 6’2 and 6’1 last year
Your starting 5 is
Fulwiley
MK
Flaujae
Joyner
Koval
You can make a good argument that is significantly better than last years starting 5 and this years bench has 4 five star recruits, Jada and Gilbert.

Eh, deep at the 1-3 spots but no depth at the 4, at all. Hopefully going to add one more big.

Joyner and Knox at the 4 is plenty good enough. You have a five star freshmen forward, develop her.
And LsUs issues vs SC this season was purely because the guards legit couldn’t hit shots, not because they got dominated on the interior.

People are short to look at the bigger picture and always want to compare to SC.

It's not really people, it's just him.
