Stupid thread. Obviously most people would rathe 2- 4*’s over ish and his brother but it’s much more realistic to land ish and Rodney.

Yes it is. Pickering will flip to Bama if he flips. Moore will go to Auburn and has pretty much said as much if you read between the lines. Fuller is a guy we are just starting to push. We are the only school to offer both Sopshers and that seems to be the deal required.

As for the op question, give me Pickering or Moore over Sopsher straight up as individual recruits. The 2 scholarship deal makes it even easier. And I want Sopsher primarily because he's our best shot of landing a top DL which is vital to finish the class. If we were loaded with DL in the class then Sospher would be much lower on my board. However my board doesn't matter

Yes. It is. We’re in a 2 team battle for Ish and we have an advantage with taking his brother. Pickering has said several times that if he flips it’ll be to Bama. With that said- his parents want him at State. The kid from Florida has never even been to LSU. Maybe he falls in love on his visit. Moore may decommit from State but his father wants him at a State and Auburn is 2nd in his recruitment right now.

Some think LSU has quietly gained some momentum in Sophsers recruitment.

Lot of Moore any Pickering talk around here the last few days. Are we out on trying to flip Young?

No. staff is still going to try to flip young. There’s just been newsworthy items on the Moore and Oickering front.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up on Young. He’s been extremely pro-Bama for a while now and I can’t think of the last kid we flipped from Bama. Especially while Saban has been there. Actually I don’t know if we ever have.

Young will take a visit though and Bama is getting dangerously close to their scholarship limit and they still have a ton of targets out there. They have 23 signed and 3 more committed and can take 28, maybe 29. It depends on if that QB from Arkansas last year is on scholarship or if he’s a walk-on.

Brothers from The Boot or B. Young and Fuller sound like solid options.

still pretty sore that we are the home school for him and he is mandating that we are the only ones that have to take his brother.

it says LSU is not his first choice and we all know that. then his brother only has one year here at Lsu. what will he do when Rod is gone?

O is probably trying to flip other said DT/DEs.

I suppose Sopsher is worth 2 scholarships but is he going to play every play at LSU if he is really not motivated to come here?

Taking scholarships away from other players can have bad effects. We could use that scholarship to land another DT that actually wants to be here and rotate in so we don't see R. Lawrence having to take over like yesterday.

Doesn't seem like a good investment. Entitlement/opinion kind of smells the same

With all of the negatives coming to light :

1. Is he the five star we thought he was?
2. Does Saban really want him with Rodney?
3. Did he just push around kids in competition? Then the playoffs and UA completion pushed him back and he did t know how to respond?

Not sure what you're talking about here, he dominated the championship game and I think overall he was really good in the playoffs.

Forgive me. A ranter or two stated earlier that he took plays off and was slow off the snap.

Some evaluator down on Sopsher

Go read the last few pages of the Bama recruiting mega thread and you'll see where they're now at with the brothers Sopsher ....

Be a good idea to let people know what you are talking about. Otherwise it seems like you are bringing others into the middle of a thought.

We all know Ish has motivation issues, I think this is just a case of him not being motivated to do what he can. I still think he will shine during the game.

The Sopshers claim the school gives schollies to both or there is no deal.
LSU seems like the only school to offer both, so it would seem like they have only ONE option.
Saban does not play these type of games. He does not allow the kids to boss the coach. Look how he acts on the sidelines with a 40 point lead.
Once the Sopshers get on campus, what other demands will they make? A coach must be very careful setting such a precedent.
