247

His recruitment came down to Bama, LSU, Ohio State. Redshirt Freshman status.

He is a Tennessee native.

If we need Safety help....he may want to play with Banks.

247 Scouting report second sentence...

quote:

Versatile defensive back body type capable of projecting to safety or cornerback but not an imposing body in either role.

This is what I keep harping on. You cant keep corralling undersize players. I dont care what star rating they carry.

We need TE then OL or a guy that’s got TE skills and worse case is a 2yr project at OT. We compete against Baja so we nod more talent everywhere if our delusional fans actually believe we should win or compete for a NC (And win) every few years.
Every fan base has idiot fans…we just have more of them.

We need the best player that’s available regardless of position!! Would rather have a really good DB over a ok TE or OL

I understand the need for a good TE, but right now there isn’t one available so it’s either get a TE that’s not much better than what we have now and hope or offer the best player available no matter the position

We need S too. S depth is a major concern. Both positions is a concern at FS and SS. Nobody looked like they were good there in spring. Not only do they lack depth there, they don't really have anyone separating yet. CB is still an unknown but they got quite a few talented guys there at least in the portal. S might be the weakest position on the entire team right now alongside TE?

Something going to suffer for us. We need TE, OL, CB, S and we definitely need LB depth. S and LB depth scare me. We still got some highly recruited guys at S but they really haven't looked good. Not only that, Sage Ryan is going to probably take years to develop. He's completely lost. It has been mentioned CB is the least talented of the groups...I'm not so sure about that. I think S is right now. Safety is what will kill this defense moving forward.

I think we could survive without another Olineman. We have a shite ton of ships there surely we have some depth? TE is thin and needs to be addressed based on scheme but who you going to get? Safety in my opinion should be priority with TE unless someone can't miss is in the portal for CB. Behind S I would go with LB depth. You have to kinda bite the bullet somewhere. I'd have to think with all the transfers they got at CB plus guys like Welch coming in we have to be at least decent there? Maybe Banks and Converse turn into very good starters.

They have depth at safety but no one has really stood out.

I think garner and banks are going to be good at corner.

To me it depends how they view converse. If they feel good at corner they should take an impact safety.

Burns, ward, and Foucha are the 3 you can count on but they aren't elite.

We need in order imo
Tight End
CB
Safety
OL
LB

We can thank Ed O for leaving the roster bare and in shambles.

Sage Ryan was the 2nd rated Safety and Derrick Davis Jr was 4th. We also finished in the top 3 for Kendall Daniels the 5th rated safety who we wanted badly but ended up at Oklahoma State.
