Yes he needs to put on some weight but athletically he’s going to walk into the safety room the best athlete . In a room where we desperately need some range, Jhase will add a much needed athleticism boost.

Even if we go in the portal and add a safety which we will I still think jhase with his range and ball skills has a massive opportunity to come in and make an impact immediately if he can get the playbook down.

Is he 180 lbs?
I thought Spears was kind of small & he’s listed at 208

Hopefully he's an early enrollee. I doubt he is Stingley level upon arrival; but if he is, let him practice with the team the rest of the month.

He has a lot of potential, but don’t set unrealistic expectations for a day one freshman.
Give him time.

Doubt it. Will have to learn the position.

I don’t even think he played much defense this year at DHS

I like his upside though

Yes he started playing safety his jr year but since he did he’s been an absolute best and shot up in rankings. Despite playing safety for two years he already is ranked the no.1 safety in Louisiana. Plus the nfl bloodlines with his pops Fred Thomas being an nfl pro. The kid knows the game with his nfl bloodlines and is a freak athlete
