I feel like we need a second ELITE true corner.

We need this and we need it BADLY. After this past week's game it looks like we've got 2 corners on the roster who can be counted on going forward--stingley and ricks. If we only bring in one corner in this 2021 class then we are going to be in a world of absolute hurt after stingley's junior year. Crazy that CB is looking like a massively thin position, yet we are only going to be bringing in 3 corners over the 2020 and 2021 classes. I'm still somewhat optimistic that flott and some of those other guys can figure it out, but damn are we playing a risky arse game right now.

Then again, this might not necessarily be a cornerback issue as much as it is a Bo Pelini issue. I've heard multiple analysts that i trust say that leach must have been legitimately laughing at Pelini's refusal to switch to zone (which, if you can't bump-and-run) is essentially the only way to stop the air raid. We played FOUR TOTAL SNAPS in zone coverage this past weekend.

So either our corners need to improve massively, or Pelini needs to improve massively, or both. I dk which of those would worry me most, but i'm definitely worried.

Flott can be counted on.
We def need another corner.
People are saying, oh well we will sign a big class next year, need to look at Ricks.

He is going to be really good but it takes time.

Look at Ricks for what? He will likely start all this year.
The reason im not worried about singing a huge class this year is because none of them will likely see the field for another 2 years anyway which is how is should be. (unless they are Stingley) Yes i do think we need another corner in this class but im not worried if we dont.

Stingley has another year and Ricks will develop this year. You will have all our other guys Flott and Ward that wont likely leave after next year when Stingley does. Right now we are just trying to build back up our CB Depth.

I hate to depend heavily on Flott, Ward, and Jones. These guys are tall enough but are undersized masswize. The 3 of them together barely make 400 lbs.

Earl Little Junior (100% crystal balled) will be a 5* ranked #93 overall

I know this favors the good guys. But will be a tough pull when it gets closer

What I'm saying is it takes time.
Taking 1 corner this year isn't smart.
You can't say I well we will take a big class next year.
Rick's is going to be fine but he made rookie mistakes.
You are proving my point by saying Ricks will start all year.

I don’t think just taking 1 corner this is a bad idea or a good idea. Ricks is starting because he is talented. You also took Dwight last year. He looked good in the all American game. I think going forward you should take more than one for sure.

I think earl little is all lsu.
What makes you say this?

As far as Rogers, I always thought he was small.
I wonder if he will def be a take when the time comes.

Rogers' dad has a lot of connections with the UA AA game so they got good early hype which was smart on their end,but he is more a high 3 star low end 4 star player. He doesn't have very good speed for someone his size. What school will let him play baseball in college will be where he signs.

This might sound crazy right now but don't be shocked if he ends up signing with Jackson State.

Yeah he got the hype going on him early.
You always take that commit if you're lsu but I don't see him or Crawford making the class.

Why do people think we're going to pull Kool Aid? Haven't seen anything about him and LSU in some time.

Why do you think people think that? There is no indication of that in this thread. One poster said we were in the mix, and another said “Please”. Neither indicates a belief that we are the favorite.

Yeah I agree, didn't realize how razor thin our depth was at that position.

Would love to get Nyland Green but if not I would love to get back in on Isaiah Johnson. He is committed to Arizona State.

oo late. We are already low on DBs and will lose a couple this year. Need 3-4 in next class. Right now we have 2 committed (1 CB, 1 S).

The real problem is Safety. We really need 3 of those this year since we only have 2 or 3 returning.
