You are incredibly stupid if you think the only thing Evans has is straight line speed. There's a reason he's one of the top rated back. He dominated great competition and his combine results are elite athleticism including elite agility. Stop being a bitch because he's not signing here. He's a more talented back than Gibbs easily. Whether he ever sees the field is a different story.

Recruiting is like sales work. If you tell 100 insurance agents you have all the insurance you need and no plan to buy insurance, but will give them a courtesy visit, 100 out of 100 agents would come see you.
By all accounts Gibbs is telling people he is firm to GaTech. But he didn’t sign in December so it’s fair to assume he has some second thoughts.
LSU is supposedly getting a visit. That’s a foot in the door. I don’t think anyone knows what Gibbs will do. It’s reasonable to assume if he takes a visit to LSU that we have a chance. LSU offers a bigger stage than Ga Tech. But insiders seem to think Ga Tech has the edge. They might, but I bet you they don’t want him on a visit to LSU.

I did too. Some people think Evans is more talented than Gibbs, but I think different. Evans looks damn good, but I bet you people will be talking about Gibbs more in the coming years whether we get him or not. Saquon Barkley was the 13th rated RB in his class and he is one of the most physically gifted RBs since Adrian Peterson.
People have to start looking closer at these guys. Evans is elite, but I like what Gibbs can do even more.

First, as others have stated, not many people would have seen that thread on Christmas day. I know I didn't spend a second on here that day.
Second, there is nothing about saying basically "we think there is a good possibility" that is anything close to rock solid information.
Third, if Gibbs flips, people will call the poster a genius insider. And if he doesn't flip, it'll be because Gibbs "mislead" the coaches.
Why is speculation so entertaining for people?
