The team lands 9/10 of the top recruits in LA. That’s building a damn wall. I cannot remember the last time a coach put up a wall like this. Can y’all?

11/12 if you go by 247 rankings.

Did Miles ever go 9/10?
This might be the best LA recruiting in a looong time.

The quiet confidence Kelly has on recruiting is impressive.

Meanwhile dude arguably just locked down the state better than anyone we’ve ever seen at LSU.

I know that Saban will always be the measuring stick, but in his 2nd season he just built a roster with heartbeat all bleeding purple and gold. Honestly, idc what happens with Heard this makes me happy.

Does anyone still find that Louisiana is poorly evaluated by the recruiting services?
This state consistently produces NFL talent (despite bad evals) over most states not named California, Texas, Florida, Georgia & Ohio,
This year, Alabama has 4 5* players and 16 4* players while Louisiana has only 10 rated 4* and higher. Sure, people can say down year, but I think the services have always sucked in regards to evaluating Louisiana HS players.

This was a down year for Louisiana and a great year for Alabama. But I agree that Louisiana is often under-scouted.

How many 2 & 3 star Louisiana guys have we signed that have dominated at the collegiate level?

2016. 9 of the top 10 and 12/15 like this season though only 10/12 (this year is 11/12). But that was also a really good year for Louisiana the top two were 5 stars, Kristian Fulton and Rashard Lawrence. That year produced a heck of a haul. LA recruits from the states top 15 on 247
#1 Kristian Fulton CB
#2 Rashard Lawrence DT
#3 Michael Divinity OLB
#4 Ed Alexander DT
#6 Stephen Sullivan WR
#7 Devin White listed as a RB but ended up playing LB
#8 Donavaughn Campbell OG
#9 Glen Logan DT
#10 Willie Allen OT
#12 Andre Anthony WDE
#13 Greedy Williams CB
#15 Jamal Pettigrew TE
Just think if this year can be similar

There was a year under Miles (can’t remember which one) where we put out 12 scholarship offers to LA kids and signed all 12.

Damn, that class was stacked.
