Malcolm Green must be really tearing it up. I hear they are looking for him at S and quite possibly a solid tackling nickle. Some solid tackling would be nice to have.

LINK

It sounds like Dumervil, Guillory, Webb, Harris/Evans/Greene at this point.

update: just clicked to read some info, but it's locked for VIP. LINK covers a lot of the same ground.

Great article.

It is good to see that we are still looking at Reed.

I really like Greene and Reed both but not sure how the numbers will work out.

Great Time to be a Tiger.

Add edge rusher/linebacker Antonio Doyle to the list of possibilities. per Dandy Don

It’s clear that Cooper is backup if we miss on Webb I think.

Different positions, Cooper is separate from the pass rushers

Even though our board is somewhat small we are still in a very fluid spot because we arent sure whos gonna be pushed and whos gonna flip. Great to see the staff keeping the board full of possibilities at need spots.

QB-set
RB-Evans, Achane, the GA kid. The Bowman blurb in the VIP article is just that imo. Would be interesting to see what Dabo does if he insists on visits
WR-set if no one flips. That new kid we offered from FL looks impressive
TE-id hope set with Taylor. Interesting the wr pitch to Gilbert and Washington
OL-biggest need left. Have to land an OT or 2.
DL-take Guillory and press Burch.
LB-i personally think,as of now, the Cooper offer is ceremonial/respectful at best. Only in if space or one of Sampah/white bolt
Edge-we will land one of them. 2 if clowney bolts
CB-set
S-Greene or Reed.

More interesting is who bolts/gets pushed. Gonna be fun.

I agree with your current thoughts lsufanva. If things go LSU's way 1-2 current commits would not sign on the dotted line due to lack of schollies.

Once needs are met, LSU will probably take best available regardless of position.

Two OTs and the DT if you can get them. With one spot left, I think you have a tough decision between a WDE and the RB. We are dangerously thin at RB next year, especially if Clyde goes pro. But having a good rusher on the edge is even more important than RB these days.

Who decommits that’s currently committed? Gaye since he’s JUCO?

Probably.

Lanard isn't a loss for next year, because he was a senior, anyway. I don't think CEH should declare, but if he does, we're going to need a RB in the class.

And what if Cush declares? Do we try to find a center or just go with Hines and crosstrain somebody as a backup?

I think Heinz is the back up plan to Cush

Gilbert - 5* TE (who would just replace our existing TE commit)

Not a fan of this move. Taylor is a better athlete with better athletic ability. More suited for this offense.

You haven’t watched them both play if you believe this.

Good summary. I think very low chance that CEH goes pro early so would put RB at lowest need though. Both freshman RBs are SEC starter quality and Curry stays if CEH leaves early. Need 2 more Oline (please let one be Dummervill), Guillory, edge rusher, and a safety. I would probably take 2 more edge rushers ahead of a RB at this point. We really need a good edge rusher to go along with the Dline haul we have coming in. I am normally in the take at least 1RB every year camp, but would roll the dice on it this year. My numbers are thinking at least 1 current verbal doesn't sign.

CEH will leave early... its not a thing about him going pro, its that he wont get the touches next year with Emery and Price there... plus shelf life for RB's and such... he will be a Un drafted free agent and will sign with a team and get a small check... he would be getting the same check as a senior... O will tell him its best to move on because it will look bad when his spot is taken... hes only playing now because they trust him with the blocking schemes... the other two backs would be just as productive or better... then add in Evans if you get him and you have 3 big time backs... I think Curry is transferring... and its a shame... he really is a good back...

Is Coach O getting any interest from 5 star QB's in the 2020 class?
