We are trying to close up with Anselem and then Cisse or Kuminga.

We already very likely have Anselem, and are a one of the clear leaders for Cisse at the moment. Cisse is better than Haarms.
I wouldnt drop recruiting Cisse to go after Haarms. Now Anselem vs. Haarms is a more interesting debate but I doubt after all the work they put into Anselem tell him to look elsewhere you cant sign here til we find out what Haarms is doing.

Wade wouldn't mess around with the transfer portal. He's currently evaluating the tuba players at LSU to fill this need.

FWIW he provided ESPN with a list of 26 schools that have reached out. LSU was not one of them. Kentucky Arkansas Ole miss South Carolina were on the list. I don’t see any reason Wade would be going after him as I would much rather go after Anselem/Cisse/Kuminga

7’3” and can’t get more than 2 blocks a game on average and score less than 10 a game...would rather go with a long athletic 6’10” guy that can still defend the rim and rebound and has more offensive upside

Haarms can definitely play, but the odds of landing him are small I'd say.

That's in 20 mins a game though. Although, part of the reason he only plays 20 mpg is because he fouls per 40 at almost the same rate as Darius Days.

I don’t think Haarms is a difference maker. A lot of length and pretty skilled, but he’s not very strong and he doesn’t move well. I wouldn’t prioritize him over a good 4 year player

Haarms is a proven player in a tough conference. Cisse is still in high school let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Does Cisse have a higher ceiling? Yes but to say he’s better than Haarms now is just an ignorant thing to say. I trust Wade though whatever he plans to do I’ll take it and run with it.

Haarms has been around forever now and puts up solid if not unspectacular numbers. People are drooling because he's 7'3, but when you look at the numbers there's really nothing special there.
Cisse has next level athleticism for his size and the ability to a true top level rim protector just 1 year into college. He wont be any worse than Haarms offensively either. It's really not even a debate to me, I'd take Cisse over Haarms 10/10.
Haarms isn't bad by any means, just dont think he'd be as good as Cisse even next season. Haarms has reached his ceiling already.

Wouldn't harms be done before Cisse steps foot on campus?
Haarms played 3 years at Purdue and is a grad transfer immediately eligible next year.
