Talent can only take these kids so far, they also need that proper coaching and guidance. Between 2018 and 2020, Texas finished 3rd, 3rd, and 8th in composite recruiting rankings. Zero Longhorns drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. There’s a clear correlation. LSU will coach up and develop talent at an elite level, let’s hope these recruits will choose the long term rather than the short term.

While I agree with this, sark is getting some elite guys on campus. He has a good coaching staff.

Guys are going to start getting drafted from Texas again, especially from the offensive side.

We don't need Texas to start being good on defense again while grabbing elite louisiana guys.

I don't think I can take arse&m qmd Texas full of Louisiana guys that lsu wanted.

All I will say is I hope Brian Kelly realizes his true bread and butter is lousiana High school recruits.

I keep seeing people post about not needing high school guys with the portal. One doesn't work without the other.

Portal guys might only be here for 1 year. They usually move up to showcase for the draft. It's rare you get a Denver harris.

How??? It makes no sense to go there? It just doesn’t. That HCs history is pretty bad and he’s had some pretty awful moments at the press conferences. I would not want my kid playing for that man. I don’t care how much money is offered or if it has anything at all to do with it. I’d take my chances with a team like LSU, with its rich history of creating super stars at all positions than I would with A&M. LSU just gets much more publicity than most teams do in the SEC and these coaches really need to capitalize on this fact. It’s just crazy to me how we could lose any super star type prospect to anyone but maybe Bama or a home team I can also understand. Otherwise, I just don’t get it.

Wide Receivers are especially incentivized to take a payday up front, because they can easily point to numbers and production later to ask again or leave.

If Texas and A&M are willing to pony up before a kid has even set foot on the field, doesnt it make sense to take the $$$ and then you can just transfer out if it doesnt work out?

And? 9 win seasons is about the best Texas or Texas A&M can ever achieve.

This is kind of naïve, If you stack enough good players on a team, you can win. Up until 21 people use to say similar things about UGA. Its just annoying because those two Texas teams have an unbearable fanbase and probably benefit most from a auction type recruiting system.

case in point, our very own Miles won many games based off talent alone.

LSU has 19 transfers on the roster with 1 or more years ( Jr’s, Soph and Freshmen) eligibility. We have 9 that are Sr Transfers. We have enough transfers to basically make a recruiting class. The mixture Kelly and staff has used, looks to be paying off, but like he said, he’d rather get the majority from the high school ranks. He did get a number from La, that had went to other schools.

There is no college in the country who can pay what our LSU stars are being paid in the NFL. Talent like this will almost surely be picked but the proof is in the history. You come to LSU and you’re developed the right way. You get tons of publicity and you’re seen on the biggest of stages more times than most schools can offer. People just love to watch the Tigers. The players who do well here become stars and it typically translates to the next level. You never have to worry about money again so this money thing just doesn’t make sense to me. Good luck holding on to these players during the season.

Are there enough balls to go around to all these guys.

It’s the Faggies so I’m sure there’s more than enough balls (and dicks) to go around.

The hard part to believe, UTx has had just two draftable Offensive Linemen since 2008. Connor Williams and Sam Cosmi.
They had no players drafted into the NFL in 2014 and 2020.
An only 1 player taken in 2017, 2016, and 2000.

These kids are going to be paid so much money they don’t really care whether or not they win a national championship
