He is from Georgia I believe. Went to UNC.
Saw him a couple times, and is capable of some big games. He just didn’t get enough play time, as UNC had 3 other legitimate big men who all are NBA bound at some point.

Some of his best games were:
20 points 8 rebs vs FSU
16 points 6 rebounds 8 blocks vs Notre Dame
10 points 7 rebounds 2 blocks vs Syracuse

Again, was only playing limited minutes.

Another interesting note,
His sister just graduated from LSU apparently, and was big into beach volleyball.

Could Will Wade pull a rabbit out of his hat?

I will hang up and listen.

I'm sure Dick Vitale will have something to say on this matter.

This would be a really good pull, but Wade seems to prioritize bigs who can really move. What’s the odds of going after a guy this size?

He actually moves really well for a guy 7”1 240. His weakness is the outside jumper. His range is from free throw line - in typically.
He’s got great hands, and is a great defender. As he set the record for blocks as a Freshmen in the ACC tourney (8) I believe.

He'd be a good guy to go get. Ezewiro seems to be out, O'Neal is still injured, and Gray is still a project. In college basketball bigs like this are still very much needed. I'd definitely go get him.

Where is this coming from? He signed his NLI so the only way this can happen is by a mutual agreement.

After watching Gray shoot free throws they will reinvent Hack A Gray everytime he touches the ball

We could use some bigs for sure

I would definitely put him up there with the UMass kid as our biggest priority. It will be interesting to see who Wade goes after, and more importantly how the next media hit piece will effect us this year.

I’m hearing them or UGA. He’s a UGA legacy and had an older brother play there recently. Calipari was probably tampering with him all season. Vitale applauds that though.

If what you mean is - do what he does all the fricking time - then yes.

I promise you will has already started down that path

Is he Alec Kessler’s kid?

He played at Georgia when I was at LSU.

Doesn’t look like a Wade type of player.

I wouldn't mind getting a player like one of these big stupid white goons that Michigan has. If all he did was rebound I'm good with that.

LSU could use a smart physical player, not a foul out player that's out of control physical.

Sounds like he is Gonzaga bound

MSN; Gonzaga is the early leader for Kessler

This was his HS evaluation:

quote:

Good size and build for a center while appearing to still be growing. Average athlete. Gets up and down the court, though. Greatest strength is a variety of scoring moves, including hook shots. Can stretch defense with shooting. Good hands and feel for the game. Positional rebounder and defender. Worst case scenario projects as a solid NBA backup center.
