Have to agree but I am probably one of the few who actually thought Harris was the best CB in high school ! He might be ranked lower because of issue as Anderson is ranked because of injuury

247 Has DT Jordan Jefferson rated as a 4 Star, 91.00

Where did you see that? I believe you...I'd just like to see it.
91.00 for Jefferson seems pretty conservative. I won't complain about it, but that seems a tad bit low.
The shitty thing is that this is giving me the feeling that they're going to slap Alexander with a 89.00 3-star b/c he's from SLU.

Nevermind. 247 just input his transfer rating. We're going to make a big jump in the transfer rankings, but we won't jump into the top 3. At least, I don't think we will. We will after Alexander gets ranked though.

Dafuq are you talking about? On3 has had these guys ranked since they signed. Low but ranked.
Jefferson and Alexander both have Transfer Ratings of 3 Star and 87.
The Transfer Portal Discussions Thread has covered these guys IIRC.
Dude, if you're waiting on 247/Rivals, you're backing up.

I really don't use on3. Maybe I should, but I don't.
If on3 gave both of them an 87, then that's ramming it in without any lube.

Like I said, you're backing up. Just go to the pinned thread. It's Portal not HS.

I'm not posting high school...I'm posting transfer ratings from 247.

Look, you have no idea how they rate the kids.
For CB's you have:
Denver Harris --- 91
The next 3 are Holmes, Bouie, & Hardaway --- 90
Storm Duck --- 88 (2nd team All-Acc)
Zy's 87 makes him top 40 - 17 other guys tied with 87 rating - at the position and there were only at total of 5 guys ranked 90 or better the whole time the Portal has been open.
As for Jefferson:
Kyon Barrs who we offered and went to USC was rated an 87 also.
On the complete list of DT Transfers in the early window, Jeff's 87 made him tied for 7th. A total of only 11 guys at 87 or better.
The 87's these two have are more accurate than the pure projection 3/4 Star from HS. They have actually played College Football at a 3 Star level with upside.

Well they will rank Zy a 3* at best, those lying SOBs dam sure haven’t seen him play at all. If they watch the tape he played lesser comp no doubt but absolutely dominated. Travis H who played at the same level of comp and albeit was great but numbers at DB were in Zy’s favor. Hunter is the real deal but Zy is pretty good.

Re: transfers, I just want guys at positions of need who have produced. The star ratings for those guys can GFThemselves.

I see what you mean. Thanks for educating me.

Exactly! Who gives a damn about ranking us before we play. I want to see us earn our ranking on the field. Anything else is just reading material. We have all the clout that we need nation wide. We don’t need 247 or on3 or rivals to let everyone know LSU is an elite football school. Everyone knows we are the real deal.

I honest to God couldn’t care less what they’re rated as long as they help us win. However, if you’re talking strictly on-field talent, in no universe is Denver Harris not a 5 star.
He reminds me of Kristian Fulton.

How is Jefferson not ranked?

They haven't gotten to him yet. Probably tomorrow.

quote:There were five 5 stars in last year's rankings. Caleb Williams, Quinn Ewers, Jordan Addison, Jahmyr Gibbs, Eli Ricks. The ONLY one I know have a real legit problem with rating that high is Ewers . I mean if Harris isn't a 5 Star, how was Ewers a 5 star and he didn't do anything for a year?
Funny how Harris is a 4 star. He was a 5 star 12 months ago and made freshman all American teams mid season
I guess he didn’t do enough beyond that to warrant a 5 star rating

quote:read up on that, blame his parents more for that. Kid wanted to go to Oklahoma. His friend is there and his girlfriend or sister or something. Mama want him to go to Notre Dame, Daddy wanted the bag, so he wanted him to go to Oregon. The parents have been going through a messy divorce and pulling the kid in different directions.
Yet what he did was not comparable to the shite show Peyton Bowen just put on.
Guy has been trying to please both, but in the end he chose himself, which was the best option.

Doesn't look like they hand out too many 5 stars.
They may assume that if you are in the TP, you must not be that good or that you are a backup and backups aren't 5 stars.
