FWIW, Bama is not in it. That has to be a positive given that they’re usually our biggest competition for in state guys.

I'd watch out for Georgia or arse&m as the only true threats

If LSU lands Colin Simmons…..TX will have extra cash and will be looking for revenge.

Saban’s dealership ran out of Chargers?

Other than $$, Aggie is just a terrible choice

We’re just a hat on the table at this point. Things can change but UGA is not seriously in it right now.

Texas has all the cash they could need and more anyway. Deep pocketed, oil money boosters that want to win... but what has that gotten them since Mack Brown?
Not worried about them... if a kid wants to choose UT and mediocrity, good luck and wish you the best. If he wants to compete for and win SEC and National Championships, then the choice is clear.

Interesting to see Ohio State in on a Louisiana recruit. Doesn't seem like we compete with them often for in state recruits.

It’s hard to get some of these Lafayette guys out of the state. Very family oriented and the further away, the harder it is. Texas and the surrounding states have had some success, but Texas is right next door and momma can’t be too far away. With that being said, as an Acadiana homer I love seeing my wreckin rams in purple and gold.

With Kelly at the helm I hope never to see anymore last minute 'business decision' in favor of Bama. But nothing's a certainty until the kid signs. Never count out Saban and his shady tactics.

My source says LSU/TX/A/M are the main 3 from the six right now, things could change as officials happen

Looking at his list progression [from ten to nine to six]; he had at least one higher academic institution [Georgia Tech] earlier on. If he's a stellar student in the classroom as well as athletic individual, I wouldn't count out Texas [or Ohio State or UGA]. Clearly these three are the highest on the list looking at US News.

I like our chances of going to Duncanville much more than I'm concerned about ut going to Lafayette - truly believe we get both

Think he is supposed to be visiting OSU this weekend, but I would think we are just a table hat right now. OSU puts out a ton of guys on the DL so should have a shot, but I would put us outside the top 3 for sure right now

Y’all have a great DL coach/recruiter - that’s my only concern as it relates to Ohio St.

Good to know. I have always wondered why Ohio State seems to have no interest in Louisiana kids. For a team that recruits nationally and is successful in hotbeds like Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Cali, they don't seem to venture into the boot often.

I just spoke to his Dad, they just landed for OSU visit, I told him to have too much fun and Geaux Tigers!

OSU had tried its hardest to get some kids from Louisiana for sure, just with no success.
Last year OSU wanted the LB who people were very split on here (think he played for his dad at a small school) and he ended up at USC. I think OSU was in it until the end with Lawrence 7ish years ago. OSU probably doesn't want to waste resources with limited kids when everyone knows LSU has a lock for the most part on the elite kids (somewhat like OSU does in Ohio).
The way I look at it, OSU can stay regional for most positions, but there just aren't many DTs who are 6'2'' 310 lbs growing in the midwest who can move.
Some info that McKinley loved his OSU visit, but that should happen at any top school. Not getting my hopes up but as you yourself said, OSU should be able to get a kid here and there every once in a while from anywhere

Y'all have that Texas pipeline that has been pretty awesome though.
