You have to take QBs from high school but you don’t have to count on them to win. Pick your guy in the portal & be done with it. It’s not even worth getting upset over

In terms of money allocation, it seems to me to make much more sense to spend big money on a guy that's already been developed as opposed to one that you are projecting to do so

All about playing time (depth chart), and… NIL
Playing for your home state plays into it some. Easy for family and friends to follow you.

I personally want Peyton Houston and/or Colton Nussmeier.

Haven has the highest ceiling but he absolutely has the lowest floor! Jmo

Havens is one thing but we all know damn good and well that Arch was never coming here.

What a retarded statement. We didn't "lose" Arch Manning. Everybody and their mama knew he was never going to LSU.

Second of all, who gives a damn? Garrett Nussmeier is literally the first QB since Jamarcus Russell who we picked up out of high school and he stayed long enough to be really good. LSU has won with Mett, Burrow, Daniels, and to a lesser extent, Etling. All transfer guys. Hell, if you want to talk high school guys, statistical Max Johnson had really good stats in a terrible 2021 season (2800 yards 27 TDs 6 ints in 12 games). He could have legit had over 3k passing and 30 TDs had he played the bowl game, and he was a first time starter. In that disasterous 2020 season where we had the expereinced guy gone in 3 games and had to rely on 2 true freshman, we threw for 3100 yards and 24 TDs to 9 ints in 10 games. In Jayden's first year with a terrible OL, and Nuss playing some, we posted 3770 yards and 23 TDs to 7 ints

We can get in the portal again, or get a decent guy who actually wants to play for LSU out of high school. We have finally figured out the QB thing. Yall don't have to panic about that anymore.

The issue there is banking on an impact guy in the portal who may not be there the year you need them. There wasn’t a very impressive group to choose from this season, unlike the previous year. So living off the portal at QB can definitely backfire.

Haven isn’t that either. Go watch a Friday night game this year.

Little Nuss is gonna need a year or two to sit and learn like his older brother. Thought we were trying to bring in an elite 5 star who can start immediately.

Haven won’t start immediately. He’s great athlete but a terrible passer. Nuss is a more polished passer and good athlete. People think getting Nuss would be a disappointment but the guy is a top 50 player and top 4 QB

Then we'd have to pass on Haven anyway so no need for consternation. Even Houston isn't ready for that. That mighty Alexandria defense was elementary compared to what he'll see in college.

Give me lil Nuss. Would be cool having another Nuss and his brother has shown him the way of sticking it out at one school for 4-5 years.

BK what the hell are y’all doing down there man? You can’t let both Haven and Houston just go. This is just absolutely absurd.

Yep, if ‘27 class was pre NIL era then LSU would be a lock to land at least one of them.

- lol..do you really think BK and staff are just ignoring them and not recruiting them or wanting them?! You say that like this staff hasn't shown they can recruit their arse off. Also, its 2027, be patient and not all emotional like a woman. Some kids don't want to go to LSU. I know, wild. Let it play out.

Kelly put all of his eggs in one basket for Underwood and it backfired on him. If Sloan doesn’t deliver in play-calling then he will absolutely be gone after this season. No reason in keeping him if he can’t be innovative in offensive play-calling.

OMG OMG!

First off not everyone wants to go to LSU. If he doesn't see that we had 2 yes 2 Heisman QB's and another (Nuss) in the running within a 6 year period than don't let the door hit you in the arse. It's either we aren't offering enough (We also may not think he is worth it), or he wants to get the hell away from BR. Maybe he likes the beach. What I do know is there is something called the portal that has given us 2 Heisman QB's and no telling who we may get now that other QB's think Haven is going to Florida. Then there is little Nuss and we haven't seen how Van Buren and Hurley will turn out. Both have potential. I trust BK. He was smart enough to go get Jaden Daniels and he turned out OK.

Relax take a deep breath.
