He also loosened some stool that game. After watching how AJ Terrell performed after Clyde stunned his arse, you can't downplay the importance of a running back who straight punishes defenders. Curry will have a big role in this offense next season.

Is that...not good? That's 5.6 ypc in a huge game he was needed in. It's better than most of CEH's 2018 season. Let the kid keep developing.

Good hard working kid with plenty of character, and smart...
Plays in Cincinnati's Greater Catholic League South, albeit in the smaller school version. The GCL North is one of the best conferences in America (Elder, St. X., Moeller, LaSalle) and I believe GCL-S does at times play some GCL-N teams. Anyway, competitiopn in Ohio is usually top-notch. Kid is legit and from what I read OSU's RB situation is loaded. They would have liked to have had him.

Wheaton has to be tops on the RB board, no? He's John Emory-special IMO. He and Kiner would be an unreal haul!

John is thicker and can be an every down RB. Wheaton looks more like a back who will be best in space.

Ed probably wants complement Backs, so Kiner and Wheaton would be my guess. Kiner more of the inside zone potential with some versatility, and Wheaton more of the burner/in-space back with special teams return potential.

Take 2 this class and sell to Moss he's the only Back in 2022, assuming numbers remain right without major injuries, transfers, etc. You assume Emery, Price and Curry will be looking to go to the League after 2021 season

With that No. 22 also, gives off a little CEH vibe

Other than wearing number 22, he looks NOTHING like CEH. CEH had unparalleled lateral quickness and he could make guys miss him badly in tight windows. In fact, he made many guys look downright stupid in so of their missed takles.

This guy's running style appears to be (using a local reference) more of an Alvin Kamara style (NOT SAYING HE IS AS GOOD AS KAMARA). He runs kind of upright and makes more subtle slides/cuts in to the open space that those sudden cuts CEH made so often. He also appears to have more power and speed than it looks like he's running with and shows really good balance after getting hit.

GCL-S does not play GCL-N. The differences in enrollment and talent just doesn't allow it in football.

Don't get me wrong, he is a talent & I am glad he will be at LSU. His school is considered the best GCL-N football program. The school has regularly sent the best players to Ohio State, other Big 10 and PAC 12 schools.

Yup, he’s nothing like Clyde. Kiner’s lower half is locked up. Clyde’s was anything but. He swiveled & was loose.

If we are talking LSU backs, he is more in the Brossette mold. Stiffer, one cut runner. Terrence Magee, or post-Freshman year Justin Vincent.

Kiner is talented but I’m kinda shocked he’s the first guy they take at RB. He looks more like a late take filler.

That being said, kid has great make up. Loved his team-oriented answers in his interview with rivals.

Off the subject here a little bit-anybody surprised CEH didn’t play more ahead of Brossette two years ago?

Jacques Doucet has since deleted the tweet, but he had been interviewing Kevin Faulk & Faulk admitted they thought CEH was more talented but they only played Brossette because of seniority.

Brossette actually responded to the tweet saying “Wtf KFaulk”

Not sure how anyone can be downplaying him for that. He's a solid 4* and is a top 10 back in the country by the evaluators.

I agree. It probably tells you a lot about Johnson imo. You would think as a legacy he would’ve fit this mold if they wanted him.

They’re taking 2 backs most likely so I understand them wanting to get one in the boat, especially with so much recruiting access in doubt. You would assume Ed is wanting to take 2 different styles of backs, so I’d assume Johnson is out now. Maybe they really liked Kiner better, or maybe the situation wasn’t what Johnson was looking for.

It does seem likely that they’d look for more of the Reggie Bush type athlete and homerun hitter now to fill the other RB spot, like Wheaton

Wow!!! What a tape and what a RB. His vision, escape moves, speed, and power for a 17 year old are amazing. Great get.

Ridley was bigger & had nfl feet

Lacked long speed but was a pretty flexible runner for his size
