I wouldn’t either if I was an Arkansas fan. Must be miserable.

I don't think it was a personal attack dude. Just an observation about a coach who is already on the hot seat and then doesn't land the #1 player in the state.
I like Pitman a lot too. Seems like a genuinely great guy. Doesn't mean he's getting the job done though.

it's time to get some dline recruits now
getting oline recruits is nice but you also have to consider that too many oline means some are hitting the portal, we kept Heard one year

That's why you recruit premium positions hard ever year, like we are doing here.

Next season the O line will have to be rebuilt, except at C, so bring in that next great O line...

Dlineman commits are coming this usually around the time SOME people panic every summer. Why aren't we landing anyone? Every year it never fails and a flurry of commits come in a month later. Expect some action after Bayou Splash.
Also you recruit every position hard anyone could leave at anytime with the portal. We have had 2 early enrollees leave like 2 or 3 months after being on campus. Players will leave for many reason some not ready for this level, home sick, wanting more money, or wanting PT.

I’m not doing anything. Arky is doing a good enough job of that on their own. Unwad your panties.
quote:I’m very satisfied. Curne is a hell of a player. Sam Pittman is widely regarded as one the best OL coaches in the country. To lose the #1 player in state to a team you play every year is a bad look no matter how you slice it. Much less at the position you’re known as a guru.
You got your guy you should be satisfied!

I’d be a little worried about this one if Arkansas makes a coaching change. Pittman is a dead man walking this season so whoever comes in during the December signing period may be able to get him to sign with the hogs.

I agree; seems most people genuinely like Sam Pittman personally, just not as a head coach.
I don't think there is any chance Pittman makes it past this season, if he indeed lasts that long. The Hogs' message board wants him gone today. I look for him to retire in Arkansas and kick back with a cold one. Good for him.

Who could Ark get that would persuade Curne to stay? Coach NIL maybe but I think Brad Davis did a great job recruiting this young man to stick his commitment to LSU

A coach that would hire Davis as the OC.

I sure wish we could recruit DT the way we recruit OL.

This is an example of a fan base so accustomed to losing that as long as they “like the coach” it’s irrelevant just how terrible at his job he actually is.

Good point. Arkansas doesn’t need any help with this. They do just fine on their own.

On3 rates him as the #1 interior offensive lineman, but I think LSU is looking at him to return punts. He's very shifty for his size, and the first guy never brings him down.
To be fair to that other poster, 247 had him listed as a DL until fairly recently. I first heard of the kid when he decommitted from Arkansas ~2 months ago, and at that point he was a DL on 247

Losing the top player in the state of Arkansas is a bad look for Sam Pittman. Particularly as an OL guru. His days are numbered.
