247's Updated predictions for the nation's 10 best available recruits

We are less than 48 hours from National Signing Day, with several recruitments looking like true toss-ups — and one, that of Zachary Evans, that probably won't end this week.
247Sports gives a heat check on where the top 10 uncommitted or unsigned prospects could be leaning going into Wednesday.
5-STAR DT JORDAN BURCH (NO. 8 OVERALL)
THE PICK: TOSS-UP BETWEEN LSU, SOUTH CAROLINA
That left the door cracked for Orgeron & Co., who are certainly emphasizing the fact that not only is Orgeron a defensive line coach, but new defensive coordinator Bo Pelini has helped develop the likes of Ndamukong Suh and Glenn Dorsey.
5-STAR RB ZACHARY EVANS (NO. 16 OVERALL)
THE PICK: Won't end on National Signing Day
4-STAR OT SEDRICK VAN PRAN (NO. 59 OVERALL)
THE PICK: Georgia
4-STAR DT MCKINNLEY JACKSON (NO. 61 OVERALL)
THE PICK: Texas A&M
I like the Aggies right now but reserve the right to change my mind over the next 48 hours as they battle Alabama down the stretch. Auburn and LSU round out the final four for Jackson who returned to College Station for his official visit this past weekend.
4-STAR RB JAHMYR GIBBS (NO. 75 OVERALL)
THE PICK: Georgia Tech
4-STAR RB ASHAAD CLAYTON (NO. 171 OVERALL)
THE PICK: Colorado

The Zach Evans saga is laughable at this point. If I read correctly, he can't even sign a LOI on Wednesday because you can only sign one. I'm guessing that's what they mean by it won't end on NSD. What a mess

I just can't see why any recruit would want to go to A&N over LSU. It's not even close.

After all said and done, could Zach Evans just go straight to XFL?

Well what the hell is he supposed to do then?
I feel bad for the kid but this guy seems like a career JUCO player to me

Don't think Evans will qualify anyway. Rumors of a laughably low ACT.

Texas A&M beating out LSU and Alabama for a big time defensive linemen out of Mississippi just seems...odd.

$$$
Someone give me any other reason? It's not distance, development, winning, or playing time.

I honestly have no idea. I remember Shea Dixon saying on the radio that regardless of where Evans goes or intends to go, he can't sign another LOI.
I agree, though - that situation has JUCO written all over it.

Latest Rumor: Zach Evans signed contract with WWE.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bama whiff on all these guys.

and wasn't he supposed to be an early enrollee somewhere? or am I confusing him with someone else?
Poor kid is his own worst enemy. It was funny when it was a clown show, but now I kinda feel sorry for him.

You don't have to sign a LOI to get a scholarship. If he is eligible, and his school of choice has a scholarship available, all he has to do is show up and go to school.

Them murders on the A&M campus though.

Does not need a signed LOI to get an athletic scholarship.

It is, he can only be considered a said player, once and only once he enrolls in that school and is signed into classes, my ? Is if he doesn’t have the ACT or SAT score how could he get in school and will it be scrutinized?

Ok let me help you understand why with a quote from a father of one of our players on the team this past year when asked a question with the following response which is applicable here;
