Word of advice that I'll only give once. It's almost always best for relatives to grow a really thick skin and ignore this stuff. Very few relatives/close friends have the temperament to engage productively. Tackett, for the time being and hopefully in the future, is becoming a public figure and there is good and bad that comes along with it.

I agree with some of the last posts. Tackett is a good kid from a good family. He's got a lot of attention being thrown at him right now that he's not used to. I'm confident he will handle it as well as any 16 yr could. As an ardent LSU fan I very much hope that's where he ends up. Only time will tell. It would help if people could refrain from criticizing him, his uncle/coach, his school and his community. I realize that on a forum such as this that is not likely to happen. But, encouragement would be more beneficial than negative comments. Thx to everyone for listening.
