He already lost out in the QB position to Howard once. Imagine how that would look if he did again and transferred again

This is the answer

Yes Texas A&M and LSU both have stacked QB rooms so that’s cancels out...the main point is that he was already behind Howard in high school and decided to transfer and probably doesn’t want to be in the same situation again

And I’m sure he knows more than just about anybody Howard’s talent and ability plus knowing he’s a class ahead of him and will probably be cemented in as at least the #2 QB by the time Eli gets there and then throw in the fact Howard is a legacy and you have your answer

LSU probably won't land any of the big QBs next few years in Louisiana unless we start seeing attrition here.

Frankly, I would push hard for him and just let Arch go where he wants, and if Arch wants lsu, then worry about it later, but I would take commit from Holstein now if he wanted to, just feels like we pushing so hard for Arch and he's just gonna leave us at alter

So he’s going to commit to A&M who has Conner Weigman who is rated as the 4th best QB in the 22 class? That argument just doesn’t make sense.

Stars arent really going to matter to most recruits in what they see there. What definitely matters is what's there and they can see on the field, as well as in Eli's case, already transferring to another high school out our 2022 commits shadow he felt like he wouldnt have played in front of.

There is a gigantic difference in some stars on paper vs. what you already experienced. Eli saw Walker first hand, and felt his hand to play in high school would best be elsewhere if it was going to be before his senior season. He could probably care less what 2022 QB A&M is taking because he's probably never seen him to begin with. He probably feels like he could beat out Weigman for all we know, he probably doesnt feel the same after being around walker howard as we've seen already. That's not a shot to him, just what he's experienced vs. what he hasnt.

Just goes to show how much the truth Walker Howard really is, because Walker, Eli and Arch are all very good. But Walker is ahead of all of them (not surprisingly really with Eli but also a class ahead of both of them).

He was going then moved over to Zachary's territory to go there. Again he did not want to be in Walker Howard's shadow for 3 years at STM and only start as a senior. There's no question why he moved high schools like that when his brother was basically a legend at STM.

Didn’t move high schools. He was a freshman at Zachary. Get it straight.

Hopefully he commits to us. He’s better than Arch.

I'm not saying he went to STM, but he was going to then realized he was going to have to wait 3 years to play behind Howard who was blowing up at the time so the family moved over to Zachary's district so he wouldnt have to sit behind Howard. It wasn't coincidence. Again, Eli's older brother is a legend at STM, yet he still went to a different high school because of what they saw from Walker Howard.

Take a look at this history here...

Talk of Eli moving to Zachary's district on Jul 20, 2019

Scroll back as far as you can on Walker Howard's timeline Walker picked up offers from Alabama, LSU and A&M in June of 2019.

Again, no coincidence why the move happened for Eli. note the dates above on what happened. Walker was blowing up right before freshman year for Eli, then talk of Eli moving schools to Zachary happened, then it happened late summer. If Walker Howard wasn't at STM, Eli would have went there just like his brother.

We'll end up with one of Arch, Collins, or Eli in '23.

Most likely - Collins
Better possibility than not - Arch - (would have been lower possibility a week ago but apparently Arch and the family have a really good relationship with O and Peetz after his visit.)
Least likely - Eli

Not even close, Collins has a long ways to go before looking like he's on Holstein's level. We just havent seen much from Collins yet. This year will tell a lot though. I believe Collins only played in 6 games last season. Woodlawn plays zachary in October this year so that will be exciting to watch.

Semantics. You know what he meant. Eli's brother was a star at STM. If Walker wasnt at STM, Eli would have gone to STM, just like his brother. C'mon man.

What leads you to believe they wouldn’t?

Arch is going to be the media darling. But you’ll have to weed your way thru the truth here

We havent been recruiting Eli very hard either, it's pretty mutual in that respect he likely doesnt want to come here due to Walker Howard and we havent seen enough from him yet where we'd take a commitment from him.

Keep in mind he never camped or visited here since things opened back up.

LSU would take his pledge right now if he offered it

Dude they offered him before he even took a HS snap. They are into him. Whether his interest is there is irrelevant to that

His interest would probably be here if Walker wasn’t coming. He’s just not interested in going somewhere where he knows he will have to sit for 2-3 years. Same reason he moved to Zachary.
