2027 Wide Receiver Recruits

I admittedly do not follow closely recruiting, mainly because it can change so quickly these days, both good and bad.
However, I am generally been pleased with what I have read regarding our WR recruits.
Then today, I look at the 247 WR recruit list, and I was stunned.
I didn't see an LSU recruit until #46 and he was 5'11" 160 lbs.... not that he isn't great but certainly not highly ranked like some of our opponents WR recruits....namely A&M having 2 top ten WR recruits.
Again, I am not questioning our recruits but that was a bit of an eye opener.
It looks like we are still, maybe, in the hunt to flip Easton from Texas, who is #2 ranked receiver. I wasn't very concerned whether we got him or not until I just saw the rankings.
I think LSU may have 3 recruits in the top 100, with two of them being 3 star, but that could change in their senior year.
Just wondering what the thoughts are regarding our WR recruits 2027 might be. I do have faith that Kiffin will get very good receivers and develop them very well. Just a bit surprising since I actually view LSU as WRU.

You know how many people are going to flip from the 2027 class? IMO it's pointless to follow teams that far out, commitments mean nothing these days. This year we have #9, #31, #81. Trey'Dez Green may not be a receiver, but he would likely outperform most of those guys on that list anyways.
Edit: Don't forget Justin Jefferson was a 2-3 star. WRU develops receivers, we don't need studs when we can develop them.

At s OL point, you gotta relax and sit back and watch the river roll.
Just let Lane (and the nutrition/weights programs) do his thing.

I ain't worried one bit about Kiffin and receivers

One thing I refuse to worry about is Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weiss not being able to field quality WRs regardless of their rankings.
Most of the WRs that Lane and Weiss worked with at Ole Miss were nowhere close to being top ranked WR recruits and they absolutely shoved last year and the years before. Ole Miss had around 4-5 WRs last year that had over 500 yds receiving. Those 3 star WRs also tore UGAs defense a new a-hole in both games they played last year along with pretty much everybody else. I’m not worried about Lane Kiffin and WRs and you shouldn’t be either.

Ive seen Braylon Callais several times. If he's not a 5-star receiver in anyone's list, then those folks are just plain stupid. Watch some of the ridiculous catches he makes along with that tall frame and sprinter speed.

Callais is listed as an athlete but is a top WR in our class, Currently

Saban said DBs and WRs are all over Louisiana. Malik Nabors was going to Mississippi State because he was a Louisiana leftover?

These kids don’t know what “commitment” means.
They flip like they change underwear.

It's as if next year's team will only exist from 2027 recruits and there are no WRs on the team right now that will play on the 2027 team.

The point is the coaches (as well as I) trust their own evaluations over the "judgements" of the recruiting services. If they believe the player has the it factor they're looking for, they'll recruit the player, regardless of the number of stars. The success on the field, not the recruiting ranking will ultimately define the success of the program.

Me with Kiffin and our offense and offensive recruits

There's no reason to ever panic with WRs and LSU. Especially now that taking a chance on an in-state 3 star guy with explosive measurables is worth the risk, because now the top WRs in your room are going to be transfers anyway.

LSU has 4 WR commitments listed at 6’2 and talller
Lane and the staff are targeting WR who fit the scheme. We’re still going to go after the big 6’5 studs, but you can’t get too caught up in ht/wt measurements.
One of A&M’s top 10 WRs is 5’8 170
