Lance Heard finished his cycle knocking on the door of the top 10 in his class overall. Will Campbell wasn't quite as highly ranked as Brown or Heard, but he was at least in the 5* range as well. So it's not like we haven't had elite OL prospects come through the state recently. The actual answer to this is probably La'el Collins, who was #3 in his class by both 247 and composite (which was saying a lot, since the two guys ahead of him--jadeveon clowney and cyrus kouandijo--were considered pretty generational coming out of HS, iirc).
Lael was who I had in mind but obviously forgot about Will and Heard

I completely blocked Heard out of my mind when he transferred.

Keep feeding the 4 and 5 stars to the OL and DL and titles will come. LFG

kinf of small, needs to bulk up over the next 2-3 years but his frame looks solid to do so
I've been watching him play since he was in 7th grade. He used to carry a decent bit more weight. IMHO, he was a better player when he was heavier.

Wasn't there rumors he could play on the dline also?

Hold that Tiger. The recruiting on both sides of the lines has been at an extremely high level recently.

This! If we get 1-2 guys a year that would have gone Bama, it could be the difference between 9-10 wins and Playoff

Rivals: Lamar Brown is a near lock to LSU.

Texas, Miami, Georgia, Alabama, UCF and many others are pursuing the 2026 four-star offensive lineman because he’s one of the best in the country but it’s going to be really tough – if not nearly impossible – to get him away from LSU. The Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab standout was back inside the stadium this past weekend and absolutely loved his experience in the Tigers’ win over Ole Miss. He even told me that LSU is one of the top teams on his list, which is no surprise, but I read it like an acknowledgement that they’re going to be tough to beat. He’s from Baton Rouge. He goes to school basically on LSU’s campus. It would be a stunner to see him anywhere else.
