He's a baseball prospect as well and we seem to be on him on that front in addition to football.

Has he been living under a rock this year? Those are two of the worst offenses in the country

Are we really in it for any of the top '24 QBs?

So many names have come up but then the buzz dies down like two weeks after and another team is the new leader

Yep, this is what I've observed. As of now I see only Toviano and Chester as the last pieces of the 2023 class with Harbor at about 35-65 chance.

Where do the other guys come from? Transfer portal?

The good thing is we have around 30 spots in the class so we can take a chance on a couple recruits that might be raw, late bloomers or under the radar types.

I trust the staff's ability to evaluate these kids so if they offer a player that may not be as highly ranked I feel confident they've done their homework.

What are you talking about? I think there are two top QBs committed. And we don't even know if these QBs are really even any good yet. Lots of hype but remains to be seen if they live up to it. Even Lagway who was labeled a 5 star has had a rough start this season. He dominated in game 1 against a lower classification team (think LSU v. Southern) but was pretty pedestrian in two subsequent losses to decent peer teams, and is now injured. He looks the part but I have to see more actual solid football play from him. A 7-8 record as a starter and 2,400 yards passing in 15 games is not that impressive.

There are going to be 2024s emerge this year by the end of the fall that you have never heard of. Just be patient.

I live about 50 min away from Willis on the outskirts of Houston. To me it looks like this kid has “shown interest” in the top schools to boost his social media notoriety. I’m not at all hating on the kid. Just looks to me like he’s trying to boost his NiL.

We are more than a hat for 3 of the top 5 247 comp. They feel pretty good with Davis. Lagway isn't CLOSE to Aggie commit. Not saying he won't. But if he HAD to choose today 50/50 LSU/ BAYLOR yes Baylor as of now . Sayin was actually Tiger lean last year. They still have good shot. But Kirby has his hooks in him more and more lately. I predict will be Davis/ That's MY OPINION.Not actual prediction. Nothing I've heard is imminent for all 3.

Good stuff, Iota. Thank you.

Baffling to me how Kirby is so good recruiting QBs, yet they have like three 5* kids sitting behind a former walk-on. On top of that, their offenses haven’t been all that dynamic since Kirby arrived in Athens….
