Love this guy!!! He is better than any receiver we signed this year except Smith. This is the guy who will make us forget Jojo Earle.

What makes you think this kid will be a three star in a year?

He will be a very high 4 star, maybe a five.

Eh ok. At least he got his negative comments about a big time recent commit off the board. I’ll give him that.

How many WRs you guys think we take in this class? Now have two, and I would think we're looking at AJ Johnson and Shazz Preston.

If they can get Thomas Jr, prob 2. Otherwise, 3 imo

Wait whaaaat? I know stars aren’t everything but I’m kinda surprised that we’re taking a 3* at an already-strong position this early in a cycle where we project to have a damn good shot at our best class in school history.

My guess is that either: 1) this kid doesn’t make it into the class, 2) he jumps way up the rankings, or 3) he winds up as a huge miss from rankings services

Not going to be a dick, but go watch his film in the link i provided. His film screams high 4 star, and that's only his sophomore film.

He will 100% be in this class, he's explosive. I'm sure he'll see a major bump in rankings soon.

If anyone thinks this guy is going to stay a 3* they're dumb as hell

That or a huge HUGE whiff by the recruiting sites. This class isn't even over yet. He hasn't been properly evaluated FFS people. Shut up over the 3* crap. They shite the bed when evaluating Louisiana prospects anyway they barely have enough resources here.

I'm not trying to call you out, but what specifically do you find strong with this position group, especially projecting out to 2022?

Jenkins is ok and would be a fifth year senior. Palmer has been disappointing. Boutte looks like a major stud, but 2022 will probably be his last year. Moore is pretty good, but not spectacular by any stretch. I'm hopeful about Alex Adams, but it's kind of strange he played a little early in the season and hasn't been sees since. And then we have the guys we sign in this class, and no matter what the rankings say, they're all unknown at this point.

It feels like I might be missing someone, but that really doesn't look like what I would call a strong position group.

Haha the fact that the preceding class has 4 *awesome* WR—maybe even 5 if we can reel in BTJ—and we are very likely to have Alex adams left over from the class before that one. Also, there’s the fact that we always find plenty of WR.

I’m just making the point that WR isn’t exactly a position where we desperately need to add depth. It’s a position where we can pretty much recruit “normally” in terms of volume. That’s all.

You're putting an awful lot of trust in guys that haven't even gotten to campus yet.

It would be one thing if we had 4 studs on campus already, but the position group as it stands today is somewhat underwhelming.
