Yea I will trust the staff but I’m not sure Crawford should have gotten a scholly so early. Just seemed like we shoulda shot hire. And if the Johnson from Newman isn’t a top priority then something is wrong. 6’4” 205 as a Junior. That’s a heck of a WR prospect.

Prediction of instate kids that end up at LSU for 22?

I really like our chances with Walter Nolen, as he is friends with (and former teammates of) Xavier Hill and Jalen Shead. And, of course, he plays the position coach oh he seems to cherish most and recruit the best (DT)

No doubt about AJ Johnson (WR from Newman), he has already been offered and I’m sure they are on him with full court press even with it being this far out

You names 19 players and not a single one is a LB? Any idea who are some of the top LBs on EdO's wish list?

Jacoby Matthews is prob a LB

First round of LB offers went to the following (none are in-state guys):

1) Shawn Murphy (VA), ILB, 5*, #17

2) Niuafe Tuihalamaka (CA), ILB, 4*, #62

3) Justin Medlock (TX), ILB, 3*, #373

4) Jalon Walker, OLB (NC), 4*, #41

5) Daniel Martin, OLB (GA), 4*, #81

6) Harold Perkins, OLB (TX), 4*, #88

7) David Bailey (CA), OLB, 4*, #91

8) Moses Walker (NY), OLB, 4*, #114

NOTE: Approximately nine (9) more LBs were offered with this first wave of scholarship offers, but I got tired of typing them out (again, they are all out-of-state prospects).

Not sure any of the highly rated LBs so far favor LSU

Not outright. From that list Medlock is likely the most attainable. Martin says good things but we need visits. Just not sure who we are really pushing for at this point. The 22 cycle is a little behind schedule in terms of evaluation. If covid holds out through the spring into summer the 22 class will be the least evaluated class in a long, long time. Literally no in person evals from coaching staffs for the majority of them.

Daniel Martin hasn’t had a good year so we may back off...

Our future QB room is looking good. Sure hope we get Campbell and load up in the trenches, and looks like we will go out of state for most of them. Some dang good RBs in the state, as usual. The top of the list feels light on the Dline.

When was the last time the top recruit out of LA was an OL? He has to be priority number one.

There was a time when Saban raided Monroe pretty often. We need to keep Nicky out this time.

At this point we need to make sure we lock down the state but more specifically not let anyone go to Bama. I hate seeing guys from LA playing over there and starting. Their 3 starting LBs are from LA most from BR. Their best recover is from LA also. They have taken important prospects from us in the past for sure. And in 2021 they are going to take one or 2 highly rated Prospects from LA. We need to do whatever we can to not have any instate guys go there anymore.

Also we really need to solidify the trenches. I’d be throwing everything to get a bunch of highly rated OL. Elite OL are hard to come by in LA. We always have skill guys or DL guys.

Also impressive of the talented QBs in LA recently and over the next few years!

Brennan was technically a LA raised kid. Nuss is the same.

TJ, Walker Howard, Eli Holstein, Arch, and I think a kid in SWLA is getting some looks as of recently.

Hope it continues.

I’m not either at this point. LB is the position I’ve heard/read about the least as it relates to 2022 recruiting. IMO, it’s not anything to worry about though

Yeah, it’s awesome how LA is starting to consistently churn-out good QBs.

Not only is it the most important position on field, it sets the tone for recruiting classes so getting a good one onboard early helps out big-time.

Regarding 2022 OL recruiting, be on lookout for a new post that focuses solely on this position group. Should have it posted by end of week.

Thanks for comments man, I appreciate it!

Cannot believe Dylan Sampson is not higher on this list. Arguably the fastest player in his class on the football field. Watch his highlioghts on 247. Most were against quality opponents.Only 5'10 180 but Clyde Edwards-Helaire was that size. Is just a Football Player. May have too high a GPA to be recruited by LSU. (4.5+ GPA)
