For once it would be nice if we could get a baseball recruiting thread that wasn't 85% filled with people effectively saying "he gone".
THIS
I am trying to get this stickied so I can update it as we get closer to the MLB Draft next summer

That's a huge class. They must not be expecting a lot of them to sign

Premium Article from D1 Baseball on Kyle Weatherly: LINK
From Kendall Rogers:
From Kendall Rogers:

The verdict on Weatherly after just one start is a very positive one, but not one without flaws. Weatherly has an athletic frame with a very lively arm, and he's not afraid to move his low-90s fastball around in the zone, even elevating the pitch at times against the Gators (San Jacinto). Weatherly had tendencies to go in and out of command, and perhaps tonight was an aberration, but it's something to follow.

I've pulled some stats on Nick Coomes at LSUE. They don't have their aggregated season stats up yet, so these may be off.
Thru 6 games:
.222 BA
5 runs
4 hits (at least one double)
3 RBI
6 BB
8 K (3 looking)
3 HBP (all in the same game

When you hire Keelyn and Beck, you GET Keelyn and Beck...

He's probably going to get a $6 mill+ contract. I wouldn't turn it down. Hess and gettys are studs too though I would be happy if we can hang on to 1 of them

I've watched Slaughter and Watson already this year. Slaughter hit 3 out the game I saw. Watkins has SPEED. I think Watkins moves to the OF at LSU.

If slaughter makes it to campus and has the tools to stick at SS he has a legit chance to start day one.

I am really excited about Slaughter. Hoping he makes it to campus.

Class of 2017 Rhp Makhail Hilliard of central high(br) commits to Lsu. Believe he's the cousin of Kenny Hilliard. Seen him pitch multiple times. Throws 88-90 with wipeout slider but projects to add a lot more. Nice, loose mechanics with a low effort delivery. Excited for this guy he will be a good one.

Here is an old article from Baseball America that talks about Zachary Hess and includes some video:
LINK
ETA: Same article has 60 times listed for Jake Slaughter and Daniel Carbrera. Slaughter is fast.

Built like a truck, Hess is an appropriate name for this 6-foot-6 righthander. He throws from a deceptive lower three-quarters arm slot and generates heavy life on his fastball, which operated comfortably at 91-94 and touched 95 early.
