When LSU takes the field to open the 2016 season in Lambeau Field against Wisconsin we're going to have a hard time winning with only Clapp and Brumfield on the offensive line. This upcoming season is crucial towards getting the other three starters for that game. Is it just me or or others just a little concerned about only signing two offensive linemen in this class?

So, we didn't redshirt any offensive linemen this year? We didn't get any OLinemen in the 2013 class?

I think you mean 2017, but there is a lot of time between now and then.

We will be ok.

After the 2014 season, we will have these guys on the roster, assuming no other attrition:

1. Pocic
2. Hawkins
3. Austin
4. Dodd
5. Boutte
6. Malone
7. Brumfield
8. Clapp

Hawkins could conceivably leave after 2014, so there's a chance that list is down to seven. I think we may need to sign at least six o-linemen in 2015. Maybe even seven, depending.

We've been signing ~2 per year and next year we risk losing 6 at one time. It's been discussed over and over, but everyone agrees this class will be heavy on the OL.

We went after other guys and it didn't work out. LSU recruits a certain caliber of player so the go after the best. But, sometimes you just need depth and a few guys like Josh Wiliford who are unheralded but can play.

Would have love to have gotten a couple of 3 star OLinemen this year to provide depth and coach up.

Add Alexander to the list, but the point still stands. I think 6 will be the number.

If we have no injuries.... This could turn into a problem? Good chance it will not but it can.

So who is LSU looking at and who do we have a legit shot with.

Maea Teuhema is on board.

Any shot of flipping Tillery?

Besides Tillery, there aren't that many highly rated guys in state. And regionally close guys will be very competitive. What are the names we should be looking at?

George Brown, OT Cincinnati, Ohio?
Matt Burrell, Jr., OT Woodbridge, Va?
Javon Patterson, OG Petal Ms?
Tyler Higby, OG Houston Tx?
Garrett Thomas, OG Many La?
Tyler Carr, OT Southside Al?
Drew Richmond, OT Memphis Tenn?
Adrian Magee, OT Franklinton La?
Grant Burguillos, OG Mandeville La?

What are the chances we get any of these guys?

What? So every guy from the 13 class will leave early? How do you know this?

I expect us to get 4-6 this year regardless, buy if those are the only 2 linemen left in 2016 we are fricked regardless of how many we take.

Agree for the most part, but I do think that there will be several quality WRs available and they will take 3. As for the other TE, not sure. I would think that they would take a blocking and a receiving TE with each class, but it isn't critical this year. They could add a 3rd RB instead (Brossette, Guice and Ducre)and take just Shipley at TE. With the haul at DB this year, they could go with 3 DBs and 4 LBs, but this is DBU, so it could easily be the other way around depending on who's available.

At least 4 OTs for sure with a couple of gaurds and possibly an OC. My money is on Teuhema, Magee, Tillery and Thomas, but Grimes could pull some out of state kids that we aren't even talking about yet.

well we took 5 in last years class, Malone, Fanaika, Dodd, Boutte, and Pocic. Then two this year and already have a 5 star OT committed for 2015, so we are not looking that bad. Would like to see at least 5 in next years recruiting class though. Seems to me, most years we do under recruit the O-line. Did Fanaika redshirt this year?
