6) The camp provided further evidence to the fact that LSU landed a stud in Ben Simmons.
Simmons is rated by multiple scouting services as the top player in the Class of 2015, and he did nothing to dispel that notion in Las Vegas. Simmons displayed the ability to score from anywhere on the floor, making him an incredibly difficult matchup throughout the week. He’s a player who at the next level has the skills needed to be a “mismatch” that LSU head coach Johnny Jones can plug into either forward slot, taking smaller defenders into the paint and bigger defenders out onto the perimeter.

I think we like Chad Lott cause he is a 6'3" PG. He has the length Jones likes to go along with pretty solid PG skills.
I wouldn't say Owens fits into the mold that I could consider Jones MO on PF's but he is still a very good prospect. Not a high flyer type like Mickey or Epps in this class. Plays more below the rim but was a very good high school rebounder. Owens is a top 100 type player so obviously would be a welcomed addition to the class. Would be a 4/5 not a 3/4 type guy.

If you watch that highlight tape you know Jones is salivating over this guy. He has such an incredible mix of raw athleticism, skill, and passion that he would be a perfect fit. Not to mention a 6'5" 2 is exactly what Jones wants.

From what I've seen, he has no clue how to play PG.

He reminds me of JOB a lot tbh. Think he eventually ends up in this class with the loss of both Martin and Mickey.

Reminds me of Jeremy Lamb. Kid is legit.

I'd agree here.

Blakeney just got offered by Kentucky yesterday. Only hope for us is probably his relationship with Ben and Alex Owens. Hopefully we can get him to come down for a game.

So, Coach D, is Lott more of a two playing the point?

Well, it was fun hoping while it lasted. If they go all out for him, have a hard time believing he would pick LSU.

Is Simmons playing for Australia in the world cup this year?

Not completely related to us but Emanuel Mudiay just spurned Larry Brown at SMU and will head overseas to play a year.
Man Larry Brown must be irate, that was his crown jewel he was bringing in to get SMU into the NCAAT. He was the ONLY player Larry Brown signed for 2014.
Jean-Michael Mudiay is Emmanuel's brother and was o nthe SMU team last year and is supposed to be on it this year. They got him just to secure Emmanuel because Jean-Michael is AWFUL

While it has been denied, I suspect the reason for the move is that Mudiay wasn't going to be eligible for next season.

UNC just offered him this morning... He's gotta be off the table at this point. If he wasn't already.

Don't be so sure... This summer with Simmons back at E1T1 will help a ton. Don't think he isn't talking to Blakeney about playing together at LSU. This one isn't over. Time to see if LSU can really play with the big boys recruiting wise.

Yea. I guess you're right. Let's just take the entire E1T1 team....

Wouldn't be the first time kids stayed together. If they enjoy playing together, it's feasible. It's not like they play HS together so they aren't together 24/7.

Deng Adel comitted to Louisville today so we have to hunt for another top sg/sf in this class. I tried to post a picture the other day of Ben Simmons and Brandon Sampson together at the NBAP 100 camp but it didn't go through. Them taking that picture is a good sign to me being that Simmons already committed.

Really liking Sampson and our chances at him.
I knew Adel was a longshot at best so Im not too upset he picked Louisville. This class comes down to Sampson and Blakeney and then the possibility of pulling another top guy late.
