Anyone know if LSU is interested in Melvin Frazier, 2015 shooting guard/small forward who plays for Higgins? I think he's a top 40-50 player in the 247 list. Here's a recent article on him below from nola.com. I assumed LSU would go after him, but I didn't see any mention of LSU in the article.

I haven't seen him play live yet, but I wonder how he stacks up to Brandon Sampson. I haven't seen much of a connection between Frazier and LSU either, but he and Sampson are definitely on the staff's radar. That two guard spot is a need after this season.

I thought were interested, but you have to start thinking down the line and where LSU wants to put him. I think Sampson is higher priority at SG, and we have the #1 SF/PF in the country commited.

I saw Sampson play last week. His only problem is between the ears. He shut it down for an entire half when I watched him. Hope he matures and grows out of it

I called his 81 rating on 247 a "placeholder" as soon as I saw it. Guy at minimum should be a high 3-star.

could be the case. maybe he did commit but has been instructed to keep it silent for now. like i said, i expect us to land those kids either way.

He's only a freshman I believe. Kai will be one of the better players in the state for his grade. I saw him play last year as an 8th grader in a varsity game. He can shoot it for sure. He is supposed to be bigger than Malik. His game is similar to his brothers.
