also, I'm surprised Kenny young didn't get a significant bump in the new 247 rankings. He played his arse off this year.

Why does this have to be mentioned? Every other player, except for OL, has stats in his write up, but they need to mention this for his.

He was outstanding all year. Especially in JC's biggest games

Yeah, I don't know where this insurance company is based, but the selection committee must have ties to Rivals and 247.
I think having Saban at Alabama makes things more interesting, and definitely gives our only marquee home game next year some flavor, but it will be more interesting to see how perceptions change, or not, once he's not there.
And I mean from a national point of view, along with their marketing. Especially if they stumble out of the gate. May be a few years before we get the chance to see, and that's OK.

Yeah, this kid is a freaking baller. Manziel style player, but could be even better.

Nice to know that it is not just our somewhat biased opinion of just how good Louisiana talent is!

Exactly why not mention the 31 sacks he got and for breaking Anthony Johnson sack record this year. Or the 130 solo tackles, or the 56 tackles for loss, the 2 block field goals or the forced fumbles and fumble recoveries etc, etc, etc. But instead they bring up his Brother LC. Smh. But congrats to the young man.

Surprised that speedy didnt atleast make 2nd team

I was thinking the same thing, those stats are unreal

To Speedy's defense the kid missed 7 games with a torn groin muscle.

Young was more valuable than Dupre. Who is talented, but just not used enough to really be on this team. It's crazy what JC next to some of these guy's names can do

That's what I was thinking. To do all that against NOLA competition is truly elite to another level.
