I think he lived in a bad part of Chicago with 10-12 family members and asked if he could move to North Carolina with a relative or family friend. Something like that. That's why he ended up at QUality Education, a basketball factory, but he eventually transferred to Bello's high school, which is very legitimate.

I don't know how much of it is spin and how much of it is reality, but the Duke Scout guys always said one reason why Miller liked Baylor more was because he would get more of an opportunity to be "the man" from day one, especially after Rivers committed. I don't think anyone expected Perry to stay for year 2.

Ah, gotcha. It all makes sense.

I agree with you that Miller should stay another year. However, due to his shitty financial situation, I see him leaving with a first round guarantee even if he could be top 5 in 2013.

He might be on the payroll like Perry Jones is currently. Might be a deciding factor in him coming back next season.

You are what your record says you are, and it says Johnson is an absolute embarassment and failure at LSU. It's completely putrid, only eclipsed by his terrible recruiting and abysmal offensive gameplans. I have a hard time understanding why so many people are content with being a horrible to mediocre program. I bet some of yall were wishing Curly would get one more year in 94.

First of all, take this shite to the Rant. Secondly, nobody is content. I would say virtually every poster thinks he needs to finish with a good year to keep his job.

good crowd for Marq. and ky. the rest suck. yet, fan's are bitching why players don't want to come and play infront of 20 fans and five students (sarcasm).

I said it at the end of the season. Gathers will be the make or break recruit for Trent. If he misses on Gathers and can't get an equally good player this year, he will be gone by the end of next year at the latest.

Trent needs to wake up and get a top notch recruiter on staff. I agree that the Louisiana talent hasn't been what it once was, but Brady and Butch brought in guys from all over the country even though a lot of them didn't stay too long.

LSU basketball will never amount to anything if you can't even keep kids in your own back yard.

How many of those players would spend their own money to see an LSU home game? Chicken and egg conundrum there.

know some may not believe, but this is not a big loss if he goes somewhere else. He really is not a very good shooter, does not handle the ball well, though he does rebound . I could see him playing football if basketball doesn't turn out. We'll see.

He's not a point PG. He doesn't "handle the ball" he owns it.

Trent is a lazy recruiter IMO.

It is a big loss,You think we'll replace him with someone better?

He should at least have someone on his staff that has experience recruiting in the south.
