If LSU were to get gathers, they would most definitely compete for an SEC title next year. Hickey, turner, Morgan, job, Hamilton with gathers, Ludwig, stringer and Isaac coming offing the bench is a pretty stacked squad.

Damn. Trent's first chance to land a LA stud. This definently changes my perception on his job security. He would have gained more slack in my eyes if he had landed RG.

I don't see that happening at all. Then again, I didn't see him going to Baylor, assuming he signs. I can see him turning into exactly what Quincy Acy is for Baylor right now -- a nasty junkyard dog in the middle of their zone down low who wants to tear the rim off with every dunk. He's going to have his work cut out though with Isaiah Austin, Cory Jefferson, and J'Mison Morgan competing as bigs, with possibly Quincy Miller if he returns. There will be minutes coming off of the roster for him though with Acy and Anthony Jones graduating and Perry Jones likely going pro.

The state hasn't really had any basketball talent since his arrival. And nobody gets canned for missing out on a recruit. Gathers was needed to make this team a good one, so it will affect us on the court, where he will be judged.

It's getting to the point where this line isn't working. Felix and Gathers are going to big time schools. Marklel Brown looks like he'd almost certainly start at 2 for us unless we signed Langston Galloway who would start in front of him. Brian Williams is contributing at OKie St as well.

Well we missed on Gathers and Felix, and we went in other directions with Brown and Galloway. I think Galloway is a guy we probably wish we would have signed, but we went with Turner. Not saying we couldn't use Brown either but how many 2 guards can we have on the roster?

Since we have Stringer playing 2 right now maybe its just a matter of evaluation. Plus we're playing with 3 guards a lot anyway so it's not like another one would be overkill. Granted Trent couldn't forecast Dotson's transfer but still.
