After Gustav we drove around after curfew with minimal police intervention. They stopped us once and we told them we were going to our friends house with power. The police didn't care as long as you weren't out causing trouble.

Thanks, Boat .. I have plenty of beer .. The 65 degree move, coupled with temps outside in the 70s seems to have done the trick ..

I was just looking out in the yard. The neighbor behind us has a cypress tree that got hit by lightening back when we had that big thunderstorm. (I was asleep at the time when BOOM). He consulted an arborist who told him it would take two years to see if he could save it.
Anyway, the top two-thirds of it are now broken off and lying at an angle into the next door neighbor's yard. I'll have to try to get a picture.
