the eye is about 50 miles SSW of nola and the storm is moving 6mph NW.

People stranded levees in Braithwaite. Rescue effort with boats and humvees in progress. Half a dozen rescued thus far

I hope it's not a cruel thing to say, but. . . Don't risk other people's lives to save the imbeciles. They chose to wait out a hurricane on the south LA coast. May God have mercy on their idiot souls.
