Except for the massive power outages. People gonna be pissed when they wake up and it's 100 degrees.

yea she just said parts of lower jeff and lafouche have a 12' storm surge and is getting a ton of rain.

this thing isnt going to kill many but its going to make life hell for many. Im a pussy and leave for any storm that will cause a power outage, well used to before my inlaws got a generator.

This storm is expected to job south of Morgan City, possibly get stronger, then head North.

That means it will take almost the same track as gustav between laffy and BR, but maybe a bit closer to us. Also, MUCH slower moving. This is going to get rough.

Yeah I hear ya. Not anywhere close to levee failure. Probably just your basic roof damage. I don't even think it's raining much quantity wise.

i think you are expecting a ton of wind damage, thats not gonna happen too much from this storm. the power outages, rain and storm surge in unprotected areas are what sucks about this storm. think br after gustav. wind damage was mainly just trees, thats what i think nola will be.

For the first time I'm starting to worry about the LSU game on Saturday. This stupid hurricane was supposed to be out of here by noon tomorrow. The longer it hangs around, the more downed trees and power lines in baton rouge. Every hour it stalls brings the 7:00 Saturday kickoff more in doubt.
