Where to buy CCA treated lumber near BR

Where can I buy some proper treated lumber near BR? I’m hoping to find something CCA-treated, but Google isn’t helping much. I’m thinking the guy that answers the phone at 84 Lumber may not recognize “CCA” when I ask him. Any ideas? Tia.

Well, let’s just see what the frick you know… Hasn’t been sold where since 2003?
Not a dig on 84 or the operator. I just have found that lumber yards have their own lingo.

did yall know that New Zealand (among other countries I assume) still have CCA as their regular treated lumber? One of the biggest nanny governments don't see it as enough of a health risk to ban it. Though as I understand it, CCA wasn't "banned" in the US. It was just mostly stopped being made under an agreement with the EPA and the large lumber co's. Wonder how many billions of dollars have been lost in re-building structures because ACA's lack of rot-resistance and the corroding of improper fasteners?
Anyway, I know you can still find cca treated posts but I don't know about standard 2x's.

You can buy it at Menards in the Midwest. Not sure in S La. Where can I buy posts? That could work.

“ Is CCA treated lumber still available?
In 2004, the wood-preserving industry voluntarily stopped selling wood treated with CCA to homeowners. The EPA was concerned about risks to workers in wood-treatment facilities and residues on the skin. ”

Thanks. This is not for residential use. More of an agricultural, industrial application.
A little far, but it looks like a “maybe” in Sorrento. A dealer in Sulphur sells CCA treated timbers. Would still like something closer.
Another regional distributor. LINK I sure hope someone tells them they can’t keep selling this stuff…

As mentioned, it's not for residential applications. All our dock poles we install are 2.5 cca, which is a frick ton of poison saturation. I think depot "ground contact" PT is like only 0.15 acq. So long story short, any lumber store that sells dock building materials would know how to acquire cca treated.

Check with Louisiana Treated Lumbers on Hwy 90 between Sorrento and the Sunshine bridge

What exactly are you looking for. They still use CCA for docks and bulkheads. But that will be mostly rough cut materials. Problem with the new treated is that it’s not treated enough. Most stores sell above ground contact if you look at the tag. Find a local lumberyard not names lowes or 84 and see if you can find ground contact or below ground.

Sure they can. Pretty sure they know what they are doing

Yes, of course. I was being sarcastic toward the posters, post voters, and 84 Lumber fanboys that think it’s banned or should be banned.

Tripple Sons or manning lumber in Slidell.

Fat fingered the upvote. Thanks!

I have dealt with manning on a couple bulkhead projects. Always have what I need. Triple sons is probably another hour plus farther each way
