What would dig a hole like this?

I'm leaning towards a chupacabra, but would like verification before purchasing the dynamite.
For those of you who have never heard the story of Jimmy Ferris and the septic tank story and blowing it up with dynamite, here it is for your enjoyment.

I would love to know too. I have an identical hole in the front of my house, right next to the foundation.

That's a pretty deep hole to not have the excavated dirt around it. Maybe a void that fell in with the dry weather?

Armadillo maybe
Nah, that's not an armadillo rooting a hole. Besides, our back yard is fenced in. An armadillo can't get in. I'm perplexed.

Just for reference, how big is that hole? Looks to be about 4 inches round if those are standard bricks.
I'd toss some rat poison down the hole and then place a board over the hole and weigh it down. Pretty sure if it's an animal, they probably have a second hole somewhere to escape.

Usually see liners tunnel bumps if a mole..
no tunnel bumps in yard.. moles tunnel and when they hit a foundation turn and sometimes pop up

Frog/toad.
Dry ground probably resulted in it being a little bigger than planned.

Have you had foundation repair done?

Set up a game camera or a security camera and you'll see the varmits coming and going.

Could also be an opossum

I’m guessing a toad frog.

Fill it up with water and see what comes out.
